To me it's the same thing but Lee always does that. I think he thinks he is a tough guy or something. I don't get it.

It's this type of performative nonsense that is embarrassing.

I like Lee.

I like the fact that a shrewd and successful business man, who happens to be a successful lawyer, is in a position of power within the club.

But he desperately needs a PR intervention. His public image, and justifiably so, is a dumpster fire at the moment.

He certainly means well and has the clubs best interests at heart but nearly everytime he opens his mouth it seems to be an unmitigated disaster.He really should just stay quiet in the background

Maybe he is the vince mcmahon of thr nrl. You and a numberr of others are definitely invested.
 
I don’t think anyone has a problem with him being injured. It’s a long season and he has signed up for 3 more of them after this one.
The problem is the honesty or more so the need to lie about the situation.
Why.
He doesn’t know the plays?
All the talk was they were sending him video and playbooks and keeping him informed. Did he not watch / read them who knows. But just be honest and say Bateman is not ready. We have penciled him in to play from round X.

Bateman's signature on a contract seems to mean very little as he has broken at least the last 2 and quite possibly last 3 he has signed but not ours (yet)

Sheens has said the performance team have him on a plan to return to field

Got to side with the Jorno's on this one, if he has an injury then just put it out there, either way return calls and keep the clubs professionalism in order and its integrity, otherwise this just leads to people to believing the club is a joke, thought that were trying to promote the club, not demote.
