Is it just me? I actually don't care he's not playing yet. I think the pack is already pretty good - it's the backs and playmakers I'm more concerned about at the moment and he is neither.

And as for being misled, we'll I don't feel misled; I never have a say in who's playing, so it really doesn't bother me.

If I were the cynical type, I'd say the media is running low on its supply of muck they're used to having spoonfed to them by their favourite whipping boy and is now speaking on behalf of it's fans - who should apparently be outraged.

Sounds like it ....he could play 13 for 25 minutes and give us some quality imput .......and help his match fitness

I can't believe upper management has lied again ...and will get away with it again

Disagree.

The guy hasn’t played or trained in a team setting for four months.

You don’t just become match-fit straight off the bat by playing limited minutes in reserve grade or off the bench in first grade.

That’s how injuries happen.

And if he’s injured now, he wouldn’t be doing contact/tackling drills at training, which he’s started.

Remind me ...what date has he been in country since ?? 4 1/2 weeks ......

And was in training privately .....for how long

An English International should have an understanding of what sort of nick you need to be in ...he spent 2 and a bit seasons under Wicky ...he works them hard ......

Rd 4 is around 6 1/2 weeks .....and if that is correct someone has screwed up .....Club .....or Bateman

Why would anyone have preconceived expectations of him playing so soon?
We should be grateful we got the right John Bateman and not that Jason Bateman guy.

You don't get match fitness by ramping up training... Yiu get it in matches.
Half a game this week in Reggie's and a bit more next week will.prepare him more than any training, especially as it's still warm

They just spin so much BS it's disgusting... And as you see in this thread they're aware many supporters swallow any crap they dish up

Imagine being upset about any of this. He'll play when he's ready. He came over very close to Round 1, and no two players are the same. Just because Lote played after only a week or so with the team, doesn't mean that John has to. John is a specific player with specific needs....... and there is literally no rush.

You are aware the contract is only for 4 years. Btw, when was the last time he completed a contract?
