"2022 1st Grade captain Ben Houston has returned from an offseason with the Wests Tigers an improved physical presence - a smart tactical move knowing the NRL loyalties of our new head coach!..."

Randwick coach Hoiles always liked Wests Tigers, there was even a time wnen the club toyed in bringing him here. Just like the "outside the square" thinking of the club.

Trey Peni playing for the hawks.
Out of favour?
Got dropped from Flegg, was terrible in Round 2.

Ma'anaima played Massey Cup for Hawks today, doubt he'll be there next year.

For reference, the club's structure at the moment is that Flegg players who don't make the 17 get picked in Sydney Shield (fourth grade) and our NSW Cup players who didn't make the side play in Ron Massey Cup (third grade).

noticed a memo a while back that there is no senior Magpie teams Lower than NSWcup they only have the two other Balmain Ryde Eastwood teams to filter into

He's small, slow and not evasive. Potentially a solid lower grades player is surrounded by flashy ones but he just adds nothing.
The complete lack of recruitment for Flegg this season is appalling
Yeah haven't been super impressed with Peni from the games I have seen. Dont think he will kick on.

We should really be targeting some young halves from the Dogs....their talented ones are great and ready to jump into Flegg, Cup and even push for NRL in coming years. Dogs made their future halves intentions clear with Burton and Oloapu on big contracts. Bailey Hayward or Joseph O'Neill would be my picks for 2024.

Our genuine halves chances in the lower grades are a few more years away (Large, Conti, Isdale), so it shouldn't push them away from the club either.
