Yeah, Wakeham should've shone like Thurston with the platform this star studded crew gave him to play off.
 
Problem with AD is that he’s being made to play as a halfback when he isn’t one.
Sheens, up until late in the second half last week, has refused to put an actual halfback on the field.
He obviously doesn’t trust Brooks as a playmaker… but he has to forget the two running halves if there’s no one to direct the attack.
It worked when Hastings was directing the team … we need a ‘real’ halfback.

The club as a whole has refused to play an actual halfback since Moses left.
 
IMO Douehi is a tall strong talented footballer but he is just not clicking at 5/8 Sheens knows his talent and moved him to FB an equally prestigious position .I think both Charlie and Daino are faster and believe at center ( which AD probably thinks is a downgrade )
serves the club best . Naden and Douehi is a strong center pairing .
I want Sheens to pick best team without compromising for players feelings

I swear some people on here are delusional. Wakeham has played 26 games. Doueihi has played 84 and Brooks has played 192. The fact Wakeham came on Sunday, and even in the trial, and was better than both those other two is damning.

Wakeham 7 this week will be refreshing but the fact AD will be fullback this week is genuinely agonizing for me. What do Benji, Sheens, the club, the media see in these average players? Why are we putting such a slow, awkward runner at fullback? His only place should be 14 tbh but even there he is a weakness.

I agree Doohey isn't the main problem, maybe a close second, and he might play better along with the whole team without Brooks which is obviously the main problem that I've been beating that drum since 2015 when it had already become blatantly obvious he wasn't a 1st grade half back. Pity the club hasn't cared about succeeding by not playing a grade quality halfback for so long. Hopefully the penny has finally dropped after Brooks was embarrassed by Wakeham in just minutes.

Do you think the club is genuinely scared of hurting Luke's feelings? Is it a delusion? Do they think he's been super loyal so we need to be loyal? (Which isn't the case, no has ever wanted brooks for more money than the Tigers were paying). Like what has been going on at the club all these years?

I hear what you are stating but how come it works for Melbourne. My take is that our two running halves aren't in their class and Doueihi especially atm isn't up to first grade standard.

The excuses for AD are getting out of control. They are the same excuses people make for Brooks. It's never their fault.
