Brooks is tanking

there is absolutely no way anyone can defend what was one of the worst performances i have ever seen by a player… I didn’t think Brooks could get any worse because I asked myself how can a crap player get even shitter but credit to Brooksy because he found a way to do that today

It's like he saw what Doueihi copped last week and thought "I'll show you how bad it and be". It's almost like he missed being abused.

Last 2 weeks we have lost purely through 2 key players having all time worst games.

He's gonna cop so much abuse after this game.. Brooks is literally my age and I feel bad that he will cop it.

This game just isn't meant for him. I think he'll be happier in reserve grade, there is absolutely nothing else left to try to make Brooks work.

It's like we backed the wrong horse and keep putting money into him in the eventual hope that it recovers your money.

It's not going to happen, both parties just move on.

You have to drop him, and give the new spine, whoever the [This word has been automatically removed] they are, 4 - 6 weeks.

About 13 blokes did their job tonight, and never really looked in the game, unheard of.

The only thing giving me some hope is Api, Bateman and Klem actually give us a core group who might be the ones to have a quiet word with the coaches because they're actual leaders. We've lacked that and it shows that on field tension is high because some of the group finally expect more.
 
Who plays in the halves next week?

Wakeham has been unable to put two good games together in first grade.

Laurie supposedly has the makings of a half but he's yet to show much in his limited opportunities.

Doueihi was playing a second 5/8 today. It was his best performance of the year, but it's a low bar.

And Luke Brooks? Today all his limitations were on display. He can't lead a team, he can't think a play ahead and has no vision, he can't set up his outside man, his attacking kicking game is awful, he invariably takes the wrong option and his defence is suspect.
 
Whats funny is that he is off-contract and usualy a player off-contract plays a hell of a lot better than any other time in order to pick up a new contract. Right?
Surely he can not be given another contract with this club.

Mate it breaks my heart. I have defended him for years. I know he has been harshly treated in the past compared to other halves in the NRL. But he is done isn't he. His 4 games this year have showed a player who needs to get out of the NRL asap. His mind is gone.

Spend 2 years in Super League and I bet he comes back to finish his career strong.

At the moment I only see him getting a minimum wage contract at another NRL club.
