Good team boon boon I just hope Douhie plays as a teammate and doesn't try to win the game as an individual...also hope he keeps his dumb errors out of the game...

Try Wakeman and Doueihi in the halves before the bye. They have done all other possibilities except for the only combo that got us a decent win in all our games played, yes it was a trial but the way the team played was better then it is now.

Wakeman and AD was the halves combo v Raiders in the trial when we clicked.

Ironic thing is it is the ONLY combo Sheens has not tried so far in an NRL game...

Someone explain the logic...

We have had Api on bench...AD FB...Staines FB....Wakeham in / out...only constant is Brooks.

He really is intent on finding any spine that includes Brooks...Brooks being the only piece not movable.

If parra wins Easter Monday, man of the match will be mitch moses, always has a blinder against tigers (except last year) God help us with media crap

Shows the importance of spine players. A great spine with just solid role players all around it, whereas now our spine is absolute mud and look at us (with the exception of API) We’ve spent up big on forwards (granted was needed) but what’s the point of muscle without a back bone!

Someone on here suggest Simpkin at 7… can see him at least barking a few orders and have some idea of what the number 9 is doing front him… so I’d go:

Bula
Staines
Naden
To’a
Tupou
Matamua
Simpkin
Pole
Api
Klemmer
Ice
Blore
Bateman

Stef
Twal
Ofa
Kapoea

Staines
Bula - ease him in
Naden
Kepaoa
Tupou
Brooks - eh, just keep not passing... He might jag a line break some day
Wakeham
Klemmer
Api
Ofahengaue
Papali'i
Bateman
Matamua

Pole
Stef
Blore

Simpkin - for if Api can't go 80/backup for halves?

I think we need to change the spine completely.

1 Staines
6 Bateman
7 Api
9 Simpkins/Brooks

14 Laurie

SHEENIUS!

Isn't it funny how everyteam.has injuries bar us. We have pretty much a full strength side and still dish this rubbish out. Think Storm had 6-7 of their starting 17 out the other day.

No resilience at all.

Staines has to be fullback. Has to support Api playing through the middle. Only one looking dangerous.

Halves are a conundrum with no one really good enough quality

I think offa comes back into the side and Blore can join back as well.

(simpkins to get time in the halves) he also “trialled there” during off season. Everyone had to learn two positions.

With 6 and 7, I would honestly at training go old school where the have 30 mins with the ball in there 30 zone on the 4th and 5th play. Whoever scores the most team points gets halfback. Most individual points gets 6.

Turn over loses two points, ball dead or opposition get out of 30m zone then loss of four points.

As long as AD gets dropped I’d be happy.
What he has been going at FB is close to awful. Reminds me when Molzten did exact same thing when shifted from halves to fullback.
Brooks definitely to join him next week if we see no improvement
Ship guys out now so we can add to our top 30 and have a solid plan moving forward.

Brooks and Doueihi will be named our halves today.
I think you could just about bank on it.
