Laurie clearly out of favour. Ran 187 metres against Newcastle more than any other player in the game and had a real crack when others didn't yet seems to have taken the fall for the incompetents that keep getting selected. If Douhie was going better than him fair enough. We are already struggling with depth and if we pass on another player without an equal replacement then don't expect any improvement in the squad.

Just saw the article about him liking cobbos try on insta…add that to the talks with Gus/dogs recently i think there’s definitely smoke.

I don't think he has been good but he has been the best out of the 3 amigos plus he is on the least dollars. It makes a lot of sense to punt him if you are in the habit of making stupid decisions.

Sheens judgement is questionable and who is he answerable to? Seems clubs have no problem taking players off our hands that don't cut it here - in our dead last position - and plenty of them getting game in FG sides and holding their own.
 
complete lack of effort and desire. stupid decision to re-sign him before a ball was kicked. send him on his way.

I've loved reasoning over the years;..

"we can't get rid of them until we can get good replacements"

get them now lol start recruiting.

we keep putting slow and comparatively shorter players in these positions that pose no threat to oppositions, so the defence is focused on the halves Ignoring the outside backs. If I was setting up a team to play us I would compress the defence and invite the tigers to go around. If the play doesn’t breakdown before getting to centre/winger then most teams will round us up.
AD at best is a 14 nothing more. In a sport where pace has become a key part of the game he is as slow as wet week.

To be fair, the backs don't get the service needed to showcase what they can do

We now do have the forward and they are laying a platform
It's the broken link between them and the backs.
That's the only issue now

Yeah man and its not a new issue either...
Well maybe it is to the coaching staff.

Lack of speed in the backline has been an issue for years so play our slowest player at fullback.

Most have played enough fantasy football or rugby league live career mode to know how to put together a team better than these guys.

Quite a few have said his a lock..

I remember there was an interview last year when Hastings was given the 7 and brooks was injured. AD was 6.

Hastings won the game and was asked if he would be going back to lock if brooks is fit. He said something along the lines of playing where he is needed and then smirked and said maybe AD could play in the middle. AD smirked and said nah not me and laughed.

I think he also kicked up a stink when he was playing in the centres.

Come to think about it when he came from south’s and playing at fullback he said on a bloke in a bar that it’s frustrating playing fullback because he doesn’t have the pace for it and see’s himself as a half.

Hate that he was extended when he wants to dictate where he plays, is well out of form and is no where along in his NRL journey than he thinks. He wouldn’t make any other team in the comp - which was shown when he put himself to market for a supposedly ridiculous price and had zero bites.

(Regardless of his requested price it was obvious there were no takers. He signed a one year extension with the club that wants him to play out of his favoured posistion)

I don't see the point of laying blame at the feet of the backs
If your backs are given poor service, lack of direction, no inventive plays then you aint gonna get much from them

I don't think the forwards are going as well as people are indicating....
I still think we're soft in the middle and mistake ridden on the edges
(Not mentioning the penalties we're giving away)

The backs are an issue - And we're not getting much in metres from our back 5 coming out of the red...
(Which would also help the forwards)

The whole spine has been below it's best, And that's the problem - They need 80% games to compete....
Not 40-50% games....

I don't think we're done, I also never thought we'd be a top 8 side this year....
If we're not showing something by mid way I'll be concerned...

Have you seen how much attacking ball they've put down this year....
