That would be good for Doueihi for finding another club. It is only my view but it appears the club has plans for the half positions.

I don't think the majority want Brooks to have yet another chance, think we are resigned to it happening if it means we get Moses on board.

Luke Brooks 2021 Stats: 24 games 1 try 16 try assists (AD outperforms him in less games) 98 avg running metres

Luke Brooks 2022 Stats: 17 games played 2 tries 10 try assists 74 avg running metres

The only year Brooks has outperformed him was the season he came back from an ACL injury but majority on here think Brooks deserves another chance while AD doesn't? At the end of the day AD's 3 years younger then Brooks, shown that he's a serious attacking threat while playing 5/8, has outperformed Brooks when healthy & playing his natural position but AD is the one who should be shafted... seriously doesn't make any sense to me. The problem is it doesn't include defense. I just checked his tackle efficiency and it's higher than Brooks as well. 87% to 84.3%. His average kicking metres was higher and Brooks had 7 to 4 forced drop outs.

You don't see everything in those stats but it's a good way to view the situation. It takes the emotion/expectations out of the situation. I had really high expectations for Doueihi last season and low for Brooks. Maybe I've been too harsh on Doueihi.

Brooks has been an average defender for majority of his career as well.

My take is that they are both running 6's. It was interesting reading Doueihi's run metres at fullback as well. He was getting plenty of metres for us.

He is decent for a half especially in a team like ours that gets smashed. Halves are typically the worst defenders in the game so it's not exactly a compliment.

I don't think Brooks is that bad. I just think he needs to be given a specific role but if it's a choice between AD and Brooks those stats appear to be pretty clear cut.

If AD’s rumoured asking price is true then he can leave I couldn’t care less, my issue is with everyone in here making it out as if he’s been some terrible buy while Brooks is afforded every excuse under the sun. Also discrediting how good AD has actually been for us at times. Yes he was poor at times this season but think back to that Broncos game where he busts the line from the scrum & scores in 75th minute to ice the game for us. That to me shows me the type of player AD can be for us.

Also just to add if Brooks has been instructed to kick more by coaches obviously his kicking metres are gonna be higher.

Agree but CAN is the operative word. He tends to float in and out of games and I would rather see focus on being involved, as much as possible.
He’s not a dud, maybe has some attitude problems, but he CAN be an important cog in the wheel, if he he puts his mind to it.
And improve your goal kicking AD, 80% plus is needed.

or the Roosters game where he was owned by Angus Crichton, probably one of the worst defence efforts I have ever seen.

With a full off season where he’s not recovering from an ACL reco I think he will be one of our best players next season.

Not just that but his defensive stats are better than Brooks over the course of the season. If anything the argument he had one terrible game defensively means the stats favor Doueihi even more. I'd rather one poor defensive effort than missing tackles every game.

At his best he is the best player in our team. He was so good that day.

He should also get plenty of time in the halves this season and he should be fit and ready to go. There should be no excuses for him. A good pack to play off as well.

Let's see what happens.
