Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Our Pathways plan is purely based on our own cup ,flegg and ball teams but as viscious just pointed out more fertile crops among the top cup sides and what about the qld cup ?
Existing stars who have already made it to NRL OR ESL level don't want to come here but those who haven't made it to NRL level of course will
Our own pathways are either mediocre or too young at this stage and I bet you if any of our
own flegg or ball players start looking like future superstars then the big clubs will poach them anyway
So I'm sure looking at the top cup teams Newtown ,Penrith etc and poach from Qld cup too
I'm sure we can find a couple of future star centers and playmakers that we desperately need

Sending off Jackson Hastings after one season when most thought he had a good season in what was a hellish year, only to see the team he is now at improve significantly while we sit miserably at the bottom of the table with no wins, does nothing to encourage any decent halves to commit to this club.
You come to Wests Tigers you get Sheens coach, and Brooks your halves partner. Sheens left the UK not setting the world on fire, enough said about Brooks, and we are the only team in the competition who hasn't won a game aside from our recent history as perennial losers. You don't have to listen to a journo to be able to figure the risks associated with that..
I get where you're coming from but the recruitment this season has been better than that of any other club. The missing piece is a half back. Granted, not a small piece. But we know Sheens knew that was a weakness because of his pursuit of Moses, even while seemingly backing Brooks. The Hastings thing is obviously deeper than just him not wanting to play 13.
Sheens has also spoken to Jack Welsby, who club asked for a massive transfer, and Lewis Dodds and it's Dodds' current coach advising him not to go to WT. Might be a conflict of interest there. Sheens knows as well as we all do that a half is paramount. He can't hold a gun to their head.

Heaps of players won't come to the Tigers. Don't think it has to do with the 0-6. Think it has to do with Pascoe and Lee being complete ...... + Not having one home ground is just not viable anymore. If you want to make the 8 you need one home ground and you need to win 75% of those games.
I hate to break it to you but not even Melbourne win at home 75%.

You'd be happy to win 60% of home games, that will probably do the job.

Articles like this make it really hard for the bottom teams to turn a corner. Clearing salary cap should be a way for teams to work through a rebuild. Time for a draft? As the salary cap has only seemed to create a bigger divide between string and weak clubs.
It's also pure baloney. Rothfield reports third-hand that the St Helens boss is telling his halfback not to join an NRL club like Tigers, as if he has no vested interest.

Money talks, and if Lewis Dodd wants to join the Roosters for half the pay, brown paper bags and the hope that Luke Keary retires early, good luck to him.

There are players out there who want to play top level NRL , you need to find these guys and bring them in , I think Trindell or Tracy both would be very keen to play NRL for the tigers in the top grade , both give their all in games as well , Trindall in the halves and Tracy on the bench we are a much stronger team , Staines at Fullback another who has a go , these are the types we need

I’m not sticking up for brooks and I’m not suggesting the club resigns him but as it has been mentioned he missed the hole pre season. He played well in our last game Maby he’s just starting to get some match fitness back and hopefully he comes good
I dont want him resigned. To many games where he goes missing with not enough attack. He needs to move on. If he gets resigned supporters will have a gutful. Not because hes the worst jhalf in history but because he's apart of the morale and standards at this club. Anyone in a decision making position be it layer, coach or heirachy for the last 3 years here should be shipped out. Start again.

Tupou, Pole, Blore. We have a decent base but keep get pulled back by the lack of accountability in the results. Lee going on about he hates the results but trusts the process. What process? No idea.

If at the end of the year Nofo, Brooks, lee and Pascoe + board members who have been here 3+ years are gone I wouldn't care if we get the spoon to be honest. Still be reasonably happy.

The missing piece is partnering Brooks. Is he half or is he 5/8th? The club can't make up their mind what his best position is but while ever he is at the club he seems to have the keys - and plenty have come and gone while they try to figure it out.

We have not recruited the best out of any other club. That mate is a laugh.

Get Gareth Ellis on the line and get him to talk the club up. Bet Dodd would listen to him
English legend.
Assuming Ellis would recommend us?
Why would he... Only on emotion but lots has changed since he was here.
If he had Dodds bestbintestsbin mind he'd say nothing about us.
Articles BS anyway no quotes no nuthin

The Player's Association have said they'll never agree to a draft
