Hopefully Andreachio and Wayde step down soon as well. They are both directors of HB Group and on the boards of WSDRLFC, Wests Tigers and Western Suburbs Cricket Club. They must both be pushing 70 if not already past it. I bet they get confused at what actual board meeting they are attending.
A couple of points DP. I don’t know whether your views on Andreachio and Wayde are based on their competence, their age or both. I’m guessing you don’t know them so I can only assume they’re based on age.
Why would you bet they get confused. I’m 71 and don’t get confused. I’m still providing consultancy services to small and medium businesses and they still keep hiring me so I must be doing something right.
I don’t know you but I’ll bet I could nominate plenty of 70+ people who would buy and sell you many times over.
Judge people on their competence, not their age.

I think picking one home ground would be changing. This is just reverting to something we went away from 20 years ago. Like bringing back Benji and Farah, it's just appeasing the fans.
💯 spot on @gallagher re picking one home ground.
Wests Ashfield have given away their soul by trying to keep Balmain Tigers and Wests Magpies fans happy.
They are a very confused club.
Imo they dont know who they are representing.
They're stuck between being Wests Magpies and Wests Tigers.
They're a club that used to be in the beating heart of the Western Suburbs, but that heart has moved along with the natural expansion and movement of people.
The heart of the Western Suburbs is now much further out, and that's where the greatest population expansion/explosion 🎆 🔥 🎇 is taking place as we speak.

Wayne Pearce has finished up his time at ARL I believe? Surely he'd be worth picking up the phone too...problem is though that the board are made up of people that still see so much through wests vs balmain lense...hard to see much progress while that remains. I do hope to be honest that a leagues club in rozelle managed by "Holman Barnes" may be the beginning of that old thinking breaking down...
As much as I respect Wayne Pearce, is having an ex-Balmain player on the board going to lessen the Wests V Balmain feelings that no doubt still exist.

Don't think so - he's still listed as a Commissioner on the NRL website.

You obviously judged me - I'm 70. Andre and Wayde have been there way to long - the age was more about getting some younger fresher ideas on the board.

Did he touch a nerve? Haha. I think he was
just referring to their incompetence and
being past it/stretched out on many boards
I’m not sure about your interpretation of his post. Unless he knows them well he would have no idea how competent they are. I think it was ageism. Not a big deal, though.
