Sort of agree except I thought Gamble and Hoffman were our first attempts. You guys have been asking the club to find gold dust in QCup and I guess this guy is our first attempt.

He missed a tackle in basically every Souths try, including a key one on Graham that broke the match open from a scrum. He defends alright in midfield but is horrendous at his own line.haven't watched Madden tonight, how was his defence ? that will be jocks Achilles heal he can't tackle
No mate, did Brooks play did he ?
His attack was terrible. The general Bronco’s defence was lousy.
Billy McConnochie and Rockin Roddy Griffin back before them…Sort of agree except I thought Gamble and Hoffman were our first attempts.
Strange watching him last night - he looked lost and just seemed to be following the ball around, getting in the way and not really getting any touches worth mentioning…He missed a tackle in basically every Souths try, including a key one on Graham that broke the match open from a scrum. Looked like he didn't know what he was doing all match, though he was willing; just not up to scratch and the first time Broncos have been towelled up all year.
Didn't Jock push to leave? Wakeham and him are much of a muchness. We are in the same position we would have been had we resigned jock but he would have been on a dearer contract than wakeham. You are missing the point of the criticism.
During the offseason, even blind Freddy could see that if one of our halves went down, we had no backup.
The club went all in on current international halves recruitment and seemed so confident of nabbing one of them, they let our depth go. It is ridiculous, you have to have contingencies. Ours was a last minute purchase of Wakeham the week the trials began.
0-7 is the result.
This signing is for backline flexibility for the Magpies.Tony Pellow. Signed to a two year deal, can play in the halves and fullback View attachment 5255

An unhappy night -looked out of his depth. Latrell and Walker really targeted him. To be fair South's dominated them all over the park once they got the ascendancy. They are in fine form.Strange watching him last night - he looked lost and just seemed to be following the ball around, getting in the way and not really getting any touches worth mentioning…
Almost like the Occassion got to him - had a lot to prove and come up with naught
I can’t see him getting another run with the Broncos. An unhappy night -looked out of his depth. Latrell and Walker really targeted him. To be fair South's dominated them all over the park once they got the ascendancy. They are in fine form.
Three blow out games so far where all the halves from the three teams that were dominated were ineffective - some with far more experience than him. He may not get another opportunity due to better players in front of him but it was never going to be a game he could shine in once South's took control.I can’t see him getting another run with the Broncos.
Put it this way, if Luke Brooks was available for the same money Jock Madden is on, there would be 16 rival NRL clubs more than happy to take him as their back up halve.
Tommy Talau could be the same at Blacktown. Is anyone still suggesting we should have kept Hastings or Madden ?
Both had absolute shockers tonight, neither of them are any better than what we have.
Garner was terrible early season for the Panthers and has deservedly been dropped to KOE Cup.
Tuilagi is lazy and a terrible defender, he’s very lucky to be holding his spot in their NRL side.
Jock is a poor first grader. He was let go because of that reason. He has some good skills, e.g. he can kick okay, can throw a pass if it's on, has a bit of size to him, but he lacks in just about every other area you need to play first grade. He fades in and out of games which is the opposite of what a half needs to do (they should be involved in almost every play, even if that means they are setting up a play 2 or 3 plays in advance - see Munster). He missed a tackle in basically every Souths try, including a key one on Graham that broke the match open from a scrum. He defends alright in midfield but is horrendous at his own line.

My gut feeling is Tommy Talau will come good and will likely reach his potential at NRL level if he can remain relatively injury free.Tommy Talau could be the same at Blacktown.
Maybe you just hit the nail on the head,I can’t see him getting another run with the Broncos.

But I don’t believe he’s given his best to Wests Tigers, so no use keeping a player with that attitude towards us.
Pretty shitty I thought.Superstar poster.
This may or may not be the case.Didn't Jock push to leave? Wakeham and him are much of a muchness. We are in the same position we would have been had we resigned jock but he would have been on a dearer contract than wakeham.
