My gut feeling is Tommy Talau will come good and will likely reach his potential at NRL level if he can remain relatively injury free.
But I don’t believe he’s given his best to Wests Tigers, so no use keeping a player with that attitude towards us.

I also thought Garner would do really well at Panthers, but so far that has not gone well. He actually copped what I thought were some pretty scathing comments from Cleary Snr. and I thought they were a bit on the harsh side.

I think they expected a bit too much of him early on in the piece.

Would have actually liked to keep Garner and have often wondered what sort of deal The "Riff offered him to go across, obviously we were not able to match it / didn't want him, or he just wanted to go to a winning side.

Is anyone still suggesting we should have kept Hastings or Madden ?
Both had absolute shockers tonight, neither of them are any better than what we have.
Garner was terrible early season for the Panthers and has deservedly been dropped to KOE Cup.
Tuilagi is lazy and a terrible defender, he’s very lucky to be holding his spot in their NRL side.

Did you watch the Newcastle game or just look at the score line? you would’ve seen Hastings set up the first try with a nice grubber & had a big hand in the second one. Hastings was a standout in a beaten team, Knights got flogged because Ponga can’t tackle to save his life.

So he signs with souths for for a million less than raiders offering. Souths reckon they can sign him for less because they want him as a centre not a 5/8 - farcical situation. Canberra have put in a formal complaint to the NRL and have demanded that the contract be closely scrutinised.

The NRL could not find their arse with both hands. Every club ever caught for salary cap infractions has been dobbed in by a club insider, or in our case we published the Farah offer in the Sunday paper

I remember quite a long time ago I think ironically a player Balmain bought from West called Lubinskas was on the field for about the same time, and the 2 points Tigers won were stripped from Balmains points.

Cody hunter looks good, just needs to show consistency. Got all the talent that’s for sure
Quai - ward , improving each game
Derby- haven’t seen enough
Baira - I enjoy watching him, Redcliffe won’t that one go !

I can't see him ever getting a 1sf grade spot there with Johnson and Walker incumbents
Surely he would like to step up to NRL
We need to stop fantasising about established top performing Nrl players there is Zero chance they would consider moving to the spooners .Campbell Graham for example waste of time even talking about it
Money talks but careers are more important
Re our own Cup side there is nothing that's a standout got to recruit where we have one major thing to offer -The chance to be a regular NRL footballer

Good riddance to the bloke after how patient we were with him. You can count on one hand the number of good games he had for us.

I saw a rumour here a year or so ago that Garner informed the club that he would look at his options elsewhere for 2023 onwards. So we were never in the hunt to keep him.

Did he have a brother, because I was at Leichardt oval when this one happened, if you were at belmore and he was playing for West it would have been against Canterbury West were playing, and im a Balmain supporter, what I saw was at leichardt I was definately not at Belmore.
