Luke Brooks #167

Im using the 40/20 as the example, my point is Cleary, Hynes ect do crazy stats almost weekly. Brooks was great but he can't do it a few times a season like he does. The tigers have a bad habit of hanging onto 'moments' and resign as a result. I just hope one good game does not earn him a extention

Exactly, and the club appears like its accepted mediocrity as the standard since the last time we made the 8.
We lost how many games straight and have one brilliant win, but that means nothing if we cant do this every week.

Harder to take for Api who was clearly the best player on the field.
He may well have been in the eyes of many. Im confident that he would be proud and happy for those players.
  • Panthers v Wests Tigers: 6 - Luke Brooks, 2 - Stefano Utoikamanu, 2 - David Klemmer, 1 - Fonua Pole, 1 - Apisai Koroisau

He can’t do it? Or he hasn’t done it for extended periods? I wouldn’t be writing him off so soon after his recovery from injury.
Im saying he cant play well once or twice a season like he does, Like I said Brooks needs to deliver weekly and move us up the ladder. It should be clear to anyone with a Brain his Control at 7 is Critical !!!!!! We have the pack. It should come as no shock when Brooks gets his game on point we win, After all he is a [This word has been automatically removed]ing halfback

Just wish those decade of L's caused by Brooks being completely inept at his day job would have been taken hard by those 'fans'

Sock accounts and family members seem to always cheer for the player to the detriment of the team. Sad
I feel your angst Winston, maybe you need to try a little harder?

Mmmm. Let me see if I get this. If the team loses its Brooks fault but if the team wins its a team effort.
Not at all. Brooks has a role to fulfill as a key player when we are in a position to attack. We have had opportunity in more than one game to take advantage of that on the back of metres made by the forwards and havnt been able to.
On Sat night he fulfilled what he gets paid a pretty sum to do and the forwards were rewarded for their effort for the first time

He's had the opportunities given to him by the forwards all year and only just taken them now.

Fair play he did well, but that needs be the bare minimum from him going forward, not the ceiling.

I think his short kicking game was no different than it ever has been, in the dry those kicks aren't stopping where they should.

But yes, this was the minimum performance required from an NRL halfback.

Can he do it again? Past history suggests not, but I hope he does.

I still think that the majority of time Lukes partners have overplayed him,Benji was Benji with his off the cuff play,AD always tries to win the game himself and the backline was getting starved...lets look at Saturdays win..
Wakeham worked well with Luke and let him make the calls he backed him up as a partner should in the halves, the backline got ball and made plenty of yards, the team all ran hard and straight with plenty of go forward,NO sidecrabbing crap that was happening before...this is the way they will win games,I hope they keep playing that way....AND in my opinion Wakeham isnt the fringe FGer most think he is,Sheens got him for a reason....

Has anyone seen Luke Brooks tic tok video of him ringing members?

And I just wanted to know if the person that absolutely hammered him is a forum member??

Good job who ever it was so funny and true 🤣🤣🤣
