Api looked noticably frustrated in periods
there, you could see it. I'd say with his halves

Totally agreed.

Simpkin was spark last week, but today we went backward with him on.
Too many unders plays meant forwards stopped rolling.
Api straightened us back up enough to get some field position back.
 
Well we played not so great and won! I know it was only the Dragons and yes we should’ve beaten them by much more, but geez I’m stoked and will take this win any day. Much better than playing well and not coming home with the 2 points, imo.

Every 2 points is like gold to us after our crap start and every 2 points will build more and more confidence into this team. They will start to believe in themselves and then with winners like Api , Klem, Paps & Bateman leading the way anything is possible.

Wakeham never plays direct, he never runs the ball. Just does the stupid unders with the forwards.

If we play South's with our boring attack they will put 40 on us.

We need a goal kicker. Been lacking this for a long time
 
The kick from Hunt off a terrible pass was an absolute miracle. We defended strongly most of the game and didn’t deserve to get beat by a fluke play.
No doubt our attack is extra clunky, but when you lose 7 games straight it no doubt affects the confidence and the emphasis on holding the ball and playing a safety first style of game.
South’s are over rated, we have a better forward pack than then, so hoping we release the shackles and play a much more creative style of attack against them in a game nobody expects us to win.

Yep I’m at the game and the under play was stopping our go forward. And can someone please punt Talau. Never seen such a momentum killer of a player with dumb shit in his game

Joffa is not playing big minutes like he was last year, but he’s very dependable does not drop balls or miss tackles.
Keparoa is struggling as is Talau and Pole is a little bit hot and cold, but definitely needs to be in our top 17.
To’a is very under rated, Nofa back to somewhere near his best.
Brooks was above average without being brilliant and don’t forget it’s Sheens instruction to run the ball on the last, so we can’t blame the halves for that.

Yeah some good things there. Our fullback winger's andToa I'm confident now. The other centre position, Wakeham and our bench still needs tinkering.

AJ gives away stupid penalties regularly.

If we played South's with that over and kick to the corner they will still put 30 on us.

Getting through your sets is important but jeez we need to be able to do something at the end.

Our halves still arnt up to it. Brooks kicking and running was more than decent but the passing is non existent.

Need to play direct. To much sideways running.
 
Losing Bateman was going to be tough . His replacement gave away 2 dumb penalties on last tackle
Noticed when Steph and Klemm on we have more punch up the middle when Offa and Twal on we lose that punch
We won game with great game by Bula and Nofo with try and try assist and made great meters especially in the desperate last few minutes
Brooks was ok
Wakeham + and - 40/20 2 sideline conversions and a 10.5 m drop out but didn't find line on free kick
Tupou ok bad spilt bomb for dragons try but good 2nd half try
But our left side attack weak our right side better
