Billy was one heck of a talent. He could be anything but injuries are his biggest drawback. Let’s see if he can string some decent gametime together.

That would be true of most position vacant in our team, but not so for the halves. Sheens has cleared the pathway so not about to be blocking it with long term young players. Wouldn’t it be a disincentive to Conti, Lawry and others?

Very good young player who still looks like he has it despite a couple of ACL’s.
Potentially one of the best centres in the game, but I think he’s a rare Roosters local junior, you wouldn’t think they would let him go.

Firstly Brooks is playing well this season. It's nothing to do with waiting for Brooks to come good. That boat has sailed. You are seeing Brooks play well. He has put on some great tries in the attacking zone and he has controlled games. If you are waiting for him to be a marquee player than you are going to be disappointed because in all his time in the NRL he has never been a marquee player and I can't see that changing at any point in his career. There are very few marquee players in the game. If anything I think Brooks is playing well above himself because he has completely outplayed several quality representative halves this season.

Secondly we need two halves.

Can we get better than Walker and Brooks for next season ? Personally I think there is no chance at all of this happening. I don't think we'll get one half better than Brooks.

Walker if we could get him though would have to be about the best option we can get.

Brooks isn't to blame for us being so poor. His future also has nothing at all to do with past failures. We need rational people making these decisions who don't have bias in their decision making.

Our forwards are doing the job this year, we have won the yardage and field position in all bar the Broncos game. The reason we didn’t get the wins is on the halves, so yes we need 2 new ones. The bias you speak of from decision makers is the reason Brooks is still here after 10 years, at any other club he would have been sent packing years ago. So yes I agree we need to get rid of the bias in making decisions, they should be made on making the team better, and in no scenario do I see Brooks making the team better, history has proven this

Given the pressure of a WT half volkman is certainly not the guy
