Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

That's not as crazy as some will think. Bula's passing ability both sides is phenomenal. Personally I'd be very reluctant to move him from fullback the way he is defending, but I have no doubt he could make it as a 6 too.
It's not crazy at all. He reads the game well. Even his few kicks have been exceptional.

I'm not a troll. I just got sick of hearing the morons blame Brooks for every loss that we have. That to me is trolling and we needed some balance.

We might have balance,
When we no longer have BROOKSY.

Excerpt from Danny Wielder's column today:

Knight shifts?

Bradman Best and Daniel Saifiti are two of the Knights’ biggest names, but rival clubs have heard whispers they could be available.
The Knights are not pushing them out the door, but the feeling is if someone came knocking, they’d listen to what they had to say.

Rival teams have heard Newcastle are open for business as they need to overhaul a roster heavily influenced by the mammoth salary of superstar Kalyn Ponga. Some say he may be on more than $1.5 million next year, which would make him the highest-paid player in the game. You have to wonder if he was an option in their roster reboot.

I would take a punt on Bradman if he can stay fit...
Frizell being mentioned 4NSW selection today made me laugh, things arent that bad, surely

Frizell's playing well and we're not loaded with great second rowers with Crichton being well off the pace, Koloamatagi and Lane injured and it's not like the guys in the team most recently have been any good apart from Cam Murray (who plays in the middle predominantly anyway).

If Frizell is selected over Olakau'atu it would be a mistake, but he's better than Liam Martin or Talakai (who played second row last year despite being in the centre at NRL level).

Hunt needs to be the priority over Johnson if he is allowed to leave the Dragons. Hunt's a better player at halfback, can fill in at hooker at an elite level (he's probably a top 5 hooker in the league too) and he rarely misses games nor has he had dips in form like Johnson has.

With that said, if we could somehow land both, that would be amazing. I suspect it's one or the other though.

From a young hot head off the cuff to a controlled half who still has the flash but not as fast as he use to be he picks his moments better now

I think the time at Cronulla really helped his game
I think going home he had a lot to prove.
Always had ability but fluctuating attitude, when Webster took over I remember reading the first thing he did was to ring Johnson and have a very long chat.
I’d say it might have gone along the lines of, we’re going home, you are running out of opportunities and you owe NZ fans after leaving a few years before when you weren’t playing very well.
He’s obviously taken whatever was said as a challenge and is performing accordingly.
I personally don’t think he’d have the same motivation in returning to Audtralia and joining us. Totally different set of circumstances.
I say no to buying him.

Yep Hunt is the one we should be going after in this current market, especially if we are waiting for a junior to come through. He has his flaws like consistency, but would have a field day behind our current pack. Hunt for 3 years on his current $ or even more, but no more than 3 years.
