It’s rumoured Pearce is asking in excess of 500k to come back and play for us, leave him in France if he expects that type of money at his age.

Really 500k is a fair asking price.
Move family across countries.
train as hard as they do in the NRL.
Why would you do it for less when you have been getting an 800k salary?

You have to try to understand that NRL players are not "just" players: they are players with a contract attached. Ofahengaue is a decent player who would justify a place in any top 30; Ofahengaue on 600k a year for 2023-25 is burned cap money. No longer having that obligation has value to the Tigers; we have forwards ahead of Ofahengaue and more coming through, that 600k could get us some strike in the outside backs or help pay for a new half.

If Parra think Ofahengaue is going to get them over the line to winning that elusive premiership to the point that they're prepared to take on that contract in full, more fool them. I look foreward to seeing them come 6th instead of 7th and losing in the first round of finals, before collapsing in a heap in a couple of years as all the crap contracts they're carrying come home to roost.

We do need a centre but he’s shocking, i wouldn’t be entertaining that one.

He’s not an upgrade, we have Naden, who I’d say is a better version of Blake. He ain’t replacing Star who has locked down right centre through hard work reducing his errors and improving well in attack, I reckon he’s a star, I love watching a young bloke improve his game.

Seen him have some terrible moments earlier on, thought the only way he’s playing nrl is coz of dad, but last couple of games I’ve seen he has played well. Still I don’t think he’s the answer.

He is exactly the sort of player we have bought in the past and hoped to hit the jackpot with but end up with a costly failure.Hope he never even gets close to the club

James is eligible to play now. We're already well under the cap, lots of cash to spend this season. We need quality players who can help us win games now.

Either Parra give us that or they dn't get him.

We cannot strengthen opponents without getting something in return. It has never worked for us. We have one of the worst squads in the comp, with large gaps in our roster and prospects.

They want a player they MUST offer us a swap for someone that we want. Or they get nothing.

Maybe we can offload Tuki to the cows and promote James if that's what we want to do.

Yes just look at the weekend results , big lead and lost , There we’re only 3/4 good players he rest are only reserve grade and poor , Joffa for a top liner only

Levai Saukaru let is opposite winger in for 3 tries. Can not defend on the wing, runs to the centre but too slow to get him before he passes the ball. We lose the game.
