I won't be holding my breathe for us to sign a player from another club equal to or better than Joff. If clearing space in the top 30 take a leaf out of Gus' book and "move on" two fringe players as he did a couple of weeks ago.

Happy to eat my words if we get an established first grade half or outside back in for the remainder of the year though... expect Atasi James to be promoted.

Actually, his best footy was when he finally moved to prop late in the year. He played well all year, but was clearly a front row type middle being used as a 13, and that proved correct when he went even better once moved to the front row. He is fine at lock of you want a 3rd front rower.

James can play anyway he doesn't need joffa to go to do that.
We will be linking with Schuster you would think given the Fulton connection

Don't worry, you'll get Lee on radio soon enough putting his foot in his mouth. If they have a deal in the works I'd prefer they keep it under wraps and I fully expect they do, targeting a back.

The plan is to bring Blore in and hope he is ready for the step up. His spot in KOE will be filled soon enough by someone showing promise in Flegg.

We've seen very recently a plan to target positions of need with our juniors and I think Joe leaving will allow us to do the same with our firsts squad.

Also pretty clear that most of Maguire's team don't fit the plans of the club. Joe, Ken, Hastings, Garner, that bench 9 with knee issues and a much lesser extent Freebairn, Dias all gone from last year's team. There's probably some others I've forgotten too.

Clearing that contract IS doing us a favor...

Agreed re the islander kids...but some of them are ready now, and some really topliners will be soon.

Clearing that spot AND cap space is going to look great in a year's time.

Incorrect. He played 20 games at lock and that’s where he was returning big numbers in both attack and defence.

Lets say the roster spot was for Jarome Hughes for 2023 this place will be going off like a mayonnaise factory, if its for another tuki simpkins well.. wrong call.

I didn't see anyone "pervert" history. Just someone who identified that Joffa's style is that of a front rower more so then a lock. He can do a good job at lock if you don't want ball playing, I don't think anyone is arguing that.

Joe finished the year top 10 NRL wide in three important categories.
He was head and shoulders our best.
