Johnson was never going to relocate. He's already spoken lots about how difficult he found it leaving NZ in the first place.

Also - Madden was only seen as good because Brooks sucked. Just like Wakeham was initially viewed as Brooks replacement.

Wakeham was NEVER viewed by the club as a Brooks replacement.....

We need to go out now and get the best young half not getting a chance or their path is being blocked. We cant pin our hopes on kids that are 2-3 yrs away, if they're good enough they'll displace whoever we buy. Im not up to date with all the gun young halves around but often hear people mention Sanders at the eels.
Personally id like Trindall but it seems he's willing to bide his time, i dont know anything about this Hawkins guy. But the direction we need to head is development be it from within or poaching the best up and comer, its still falls into line with us being the development club.

If the Tigers cannot secure a well known upgrade in the halves to go with Brooks and Wakeham, I think the targets to add competition need to be Blake Taaffe who falls further down the pecking order once Wighton joins the Rabbitohs, Daniel Atkinson from the Sharks who played for Italy in the World Cup- he's kind of a utility but similar to how Hynes was at the Storm and their feeder club prior to breaking out, Cogger from the Knights who is a lesser talent but possibly more that organiser we lack and the most obvious one is Schuster, who is the only one likely to be a star further into their career.

If the Tigers can't secure an upgrade in the halves of note- get them better wide players to at least give them better targets to kick and pass to. One stand out centre would be a huge upgrade.

Madden looks overawed and out of his depth and looks a lot worse then his last few games here in which I thought he was starting to turn the corner, rather slowly like a ocean liner, but you could see some improvement. His 2 games for them have been average.

What's total team points when he played 8 points? Enough said always been a crap attacker

I'm totally with you. There are so few options. When I state I don't like it the next question is who is better ? I don't have the answer to this.

Brooks to me is a no brainer assuming they can get him. He is a decent NRL half and has shown plenty of really good plays this year. He has very few downsides to his game.

In stating that Brooks isn't a marquee half and ideally we need one.

None of those options appeal to me. Maybe Townsend and then one of those players as a back-up. I think we need more options in the halves as well but that has it's limitations. Hastings gave us another option last year but he wasn't a good enough option to really improve us.

It's a really tough market and a really tough situation.

He certainly is, no game awareness, and zero footy IQ, we need 2 new halves, even if they are both kids, or one kid plus Schuster, the Brooks experiment is 10 years deep and still failing.

Wakeham appears a much more confident player than Madden.

I think Madden looked terrible in both games he's started in for the Broncos.

Think Wakeham has another gear but is playing the game plan he's been told to play.

7-Wakeham 6-Schuster would be an upgrade
