Joe Ofahengaue #240

We've just scored the most points in the club history and just announced an even split at suburban home grounds I think the club including the board, CEO and chairman are having a good week. 👏

What's everyone else did this week?
Suburban home grounds proposal is just Gadget flapping his gums at this stage. Far from official and actually becoming a reality.

Do you know why he wanted to go?
I don't want to be critical of the decision until we see who the club replaces him with. But, currently I can't see how releasing a quality player, whilst we apparently already have plenty of cap space available is a good decision.
We probably told him he's not in the plans for later years whether that was next year or the year after I'm not sure, plus it's an opportunity for him to go to a club that has a real chance of finals footy.

We could of kept him this year and shopped him around in the off season to another club but I doubt he would end up in as good of a situation he's walking into now and considering all he's done I'm glad the club hasn't been a dick

All the best Joe

I read it and smell he was pushed out ,if this s the case so he it but I would expect some one in return, Joffa I hope you do very well at the slimmers

I really like Joffa and he’s a good footballer no doubt, with a good work ethic and attitude.
I am torn however, between keeping a “good” footballer at the club, and wanting or needing “great” footballers in our squad if we are ever going to succeed in the NRL. We need to keep upgrading players and it’s guys like Hastings and Joffa that need to be moved on when the opportunity arises.
Wish him the absolute best of luck!

Time will tell on that

Needing and wanting "great" footballers is a pipe dream not a reality. The bloke was the Kelly Barnes winner last year and earned an extension on the back of that and then less than twelve months later we cut him because he is costing too much. If that is not a poor reflection on the way the club is run I don't know what it is. Joe O was never going to make or break us but every club needs players like him and the very reason Parramatta was happy to take him off our hands.

“This contract extension is a reward for his professionalism, attitude, and commitment since joining us last season"

Justin Pascoe - September 22

Replaced by Klemmer - Klem Doing a good job....
He might not be a 'great' player - Depends on your definition....
He's outplaying most (If not all) of the Props the Knights picked over him,
And most (If not all) of our Middle forwards - Including Joe.

Club has a player like Joe already, Been here for years.... Twal.
I prefer Joe, Twal got the spot - But it's one or the other, Not both....
Especially with Twal, Klem and Stef (and Joe) being more Domestic Types....

Parra took Joe off our hands because they don't have a Twal.

We seem to have a new player on our website player list:

It’s not that hard to understand really is it?
Some on here think the world is falling in coz we let an average performer go? I like him and he was an upgrade at the time, but he is not now.

You wouldn't think.... Seems it is though.
Starting Middle Joe re-signed September,
An Upgrade for the exact position in Klemmer comes up and is signed November...

Not only that, Klemmers form compared to that of Joe certainly kybosh's any required reasoning....
