Luke Brooks #167

If you take away ANY bias toward Sheens, Brooks or whatever & you JUST listen to some of the comments Sheens has made in the last week there is something I find very interesting in there:

Sheens signed Brooks as a 16 year old, saw him & Moses as the Tigers future spine, but never got to coach him until this year.

We are seeing SOMETHING of a career turn-around in the last month or so. Sheens has been on record as saying he WANTS Brooks as his #7 for the future.

I think Sheens is having a swipe at Tigers management, the previous coaches etc for where Brooks is at. Maybe as fans, as a club etc- we actually need to let Sheens coach Brooks & let him try & develop the player he envisioned at the beginning?
Yep

I love how every good game, people say it's only 1 game. Maybe just can't count past 1?

Brooks has been good since we got towelled up by the donkeys, and great in a few.

Sure, he has failed to ice a couple of important plays in that month and a half, but he was getting into those positions and has arguably been the form half of the competition over this period.

At least we have stopped having to put up with the like of posts claiming that he kicks a grubber dead and another out on the full each game. Even if for many it took a month or so longer than it should have.

How do you explain Brooks’ position on the Dally M leader board?

Been waiting for someone to point out he has twice as many points accumulated as the superstar we were supposed to dump him for (Despite winning less games)
Has also had a much better season thus far....

Apparently has 1 good game "Every 6 months"?
Doesn't really explain 2 MOM performances inside the same month either...

Look, he had a good game against a team that was diabolical and missed over 50 tackles.
I’ll be happier when I see him manage a win in a tight game.

Not sure why some people are death riding him, sheens and api clearly have had a profound effect on him and he's starting to come good again. I also feel like Madge didn't know how to manage him, which is why we saw no life from him for a few years - that and his confidence dropping as a result.

You can just see the confidence is back in his game, in how he's playing and how he commands the team. If this form continues, I would be more than happy for him to extend with us and become a one club man.

Keep it up Brooksy!!
