Latu Fainu no doubt looks to have massive potential and I’m very happy he’s rumoured to be signing with Wests Tigers, but he won’t be in the same class as Luke Brooks as a running 5/8 for at least 2 years.
Manly will walk into the top 8 with Brooks playing 6 for them, while Wests Tigers will remain in the bottom 3 waiting on young players with potential to develop.

Schuster has the skill set and body shape for the perfect 13. Unfortunately he has the heart for Ron Massey Cup. Once he runs the ball with purpose regularly and puts his body on the line he will be a freak in the middle. But I reckon he never will.

I don't think he is out of form, i think he is done. I predicted he would decline quickly and i love it. It's bordering on retirement IMO.

I'm pumped for Fainu but his career will go the same way as Brooks' if he doesn't have a decent halfback to support. Actually happy for Brooks and wish him all the success, if not to stick it up to those who have pinned Tigers on field failures completely onto him.

I’m pleased we are coming to the end of the Brooks bashing. If Benji has final say in the players he wants then why didn’t he get Brooks?
According to Hagipantelis there is a “List Management Committee “ deciding on players who are contracted?

Manly wont make the top 8 without Turbo who is made of glass… Brooks wont change that

I'm actually very glad this question will be answered, as it has been a decade-long discussion point for Tigers fans whether Brooks just isn't that good, or whether he could excel with adequate support. I always pictured Brooks having a few seasons at Melbourne Storm and fitting right in to an existing structure of excellence.
