Sign him long term. Members need a new whipping boy. I think he is on par with some of the options I heard.

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce that Wests Tigers Player #244, Jock Madden, will return to the club on a two-year deal from the 2026 season.
After debuting for Wests Tigers in 2021, the 25-year-old half went on to feature in 17 matches for the club in 2021-22.
A Scone Thoroughbreds junior, Madden went on to join the Brisbane Broncos, where he has played 15 games since 2023.
He is currently in recovery from a pectoral tear suffered in May.
A composed and measured player with a good kicking game, Madden adds quality depth to the club’s halves stocks.
Jock is also of outstanding character and after making fortnightly trips to the Queensland Children’s Hospital to support youth doing it tough (among other community initiatives), he has been nominated for the 2025 Ken Stephen Medal.
Jock is delighted to make his return to Wests Tigers after three years.
“It’s a great feeling to return to the Wests Tigers in 2026. I am excited to work and play under Benji’s leadership and to be part of a team heading in the right direction.”
Jock Madden
Head Coach Benji Marshall believes Madden will prove a quality addition to the roster.
“Jock is a smart player with a strong kicking game and a great work ethic.

Welcome back 🔒🤝
Is this confirmation there won't be a bud Sullivan in tigers colours next year??? Or maybe, bud Sullivan is staying and douehi has chosen to sign elsewhere??? Pretty handy to have jock and bud as starting halves in reserve grade, and to be called upon into first grade when required...

Do we need him?

Eh. I’d say he’s half a chance of being a bench utility. Should be in the extended squad at a minimum most weeks.

Like for like compared to Bud IMO. Maybe Bud a bit more versatile but less of a kicking game.
Guessing Bud is moving on.

I’m not the biggest fan of Bud, but he is much more accomplished than Madden.
lol yes!! Having a 7 who’s played multiple season of nrl as first drop is exactly what you want . He won’t be in the 17 week in week out . But who cares . He’s depth and origin replacement . Really smart recruitment IMO

Mr Kotter can be his nick name, you are old if you get that reference
Why ? He’s going to be the 7 for the magpies … it’s much better than paying bud or even really Latu half a mil to run those teams . It’s smart .

Going to assume he'll be on significantly less than Bud.
He's played 32 1st grade games. Bud has 48 to his name. You need guys with some experience in reserve. I don't think we hated Madden when he was here. He's just not....special.
And that is ok. His job will be to NOT lose games if he plays.

unusual signing but if he’s willing to be back up 7 and a main stay for the magpies I don’t have an issue with it
