If Moley is right it'd be the first time.Looks like it… we can’t seem to sign anyone decent this year
I thought Wakeham money would be south of 250 because he should be backup only.$350k is just a number off the top of my head. Let's just say "Wakeham money".
The Bulldogs were happy to let him go- agreed. I 'think' they had just moved him into the fullback role themselves, from memory. I'm trying to think who they had brought in to play 7 next to Reynolds to replace him.
I just remember him being very highly regarded PRIOR to becoming a 'utility'.
He’d be on minimum wage. 3 weeks before the season he didn’t have a contract at all.I thought Wakeham money would be south of 250 because he should be backup only.
Under 20s he was a half back 5/8 may have even played NSW in the halves. Around 2020/21.When was the last time Taffe played half? Genuine question, because I think he has something but I don’t like him at fullback.
Talau was a specialist halfback when he played junior football, but will never be a good half at NRL level.
Lets face facts, if we have signed halfs, they cant be any good otherwise we would have heard about who they are.No one knows if we went after Sexton or not.
We might have already signed some halves but not announced them yet.
Dodd is obviously a popular option, but he has already said 2025, not 2024 for the NRL.Travis? And no to DW.
Watching 'highlights' of Pearce from this season only highlights the speed of the SL being lower than the NRL. Don't get me wrong- if we sign him I'll like it. For all the intangibles he brings.I couldn’t swallow Lolohea or Austin, been there done that when they were younger.
Dodd or Pearce with a young exciting 6.
He certainly brings game management. We would need some dynamic players around him for sure.Everyone think we lack a game manager which I tend to agree with. Pearce gives you that. His speed is not a huge issue if you have other weapons.
Probably. Reminds me of Fonua. Or the other way around.Too rocks and diamonds for NRL imo
It's just a win/win on our side. The timing around Fulton arriving and the deadline on Brooks, suggests to me that he may have had more to do with it than the board alone.. Fulton privy to who Manly were targeting with Schuster not working out at 5/8th and IMoses being Siebold and Lukes manager. Coincidence ??
Not one to defend the board of late -.they may have forced Brooks hand but they needed to know if he was interested in negotiating or wanted out. Signed sealed and delivered at Manly soon after.
I'm conflicted. Strike power for sure. But then I watch Nofa defend & think- actually, we need solid defenders.I haven’t seen much of Weekes but we definitely need some more strike power on the edges. Campbell Graham I would open the war chest for.
But Pearce would pose a Threat. If the man touching the ball most doesn't pose a threat to the defence by himself, it makes his job of creating space 10 times harder.
A half that can't run shouldn't be an option.
