Brodie Croft

I think I might just pack it in if this is what the club is shooting for. Years and years of Brooks bashing and how we needed to move on, only to move on to Brodie Croft or Aiden Seizer? God damn, standards aren’t high in this joint are they.
Remember Sheens signed Michael Buettner a couple of years before our 05 premiership!!!

Suffered badly under the weight of expectation, Storm (and media) hyped him as the successor to Cronk, but he was never going to get to that level.
From there his confidence took a dip and after some real average performances in Brisbane (especially defensively), he took the opportunity to work on his game in the ESL.
From what I have seen he is a vastly different player to the one that left the Donkeys, and once again playing with confidence.
I don't think he will ever be a dominant half in the NRL, but I think he would be a very good Robin to almost any Batman. He doesn't solve our dilemma at 7 but if there's a chance to go get him right now, I say we take it.

I just watched the first half of Salford V Leigh where Croft marks up against Lachlan Lam. I wanted to watch a game rather then highlights to gauge the overall picture. I'm very confident Croft is no different to what he was when in the NRL. He looks ordinary. Everytime the opposition put any pressure on him he simply looked exactly like he did at the Broncos.

Lam didn't impress me either. The 2 players that impressed were Salford halfback Sneyd, but he is 32, and lock John Asiata for Leigh who did a lot of organising and ordering players into position before distributing the ball well.

I would be staying well clear of Croft. It honestly looked like Brooks on a bad day.

Are Croft and Sezer part of the WTs very aggressive recruitment programme mentioned by the chair? If they form part of it the programme is about as aggressive as a wet lettuce. It's the club's prerogative to move along a player but when the decision was made to make the low ball offer to Brooks, whomever made that decision surely had better players than Sezer and Croft as targets?

I was never impressed with Croft, and I can only say that something drastic will have had to happen to his form to change my opinion.

Obviously Hastings, for example, went to Super League and came back a better / more reliable player, so it can be done.

But currently I am quite underwhelmed for this to be an option.

We need to try something , we can’t go into 24 with
Tigers are on the lookout for a dominate half , have been since 22 season flop, Croft , Taafe , Is a step up at least and keep going for Trindal , money talks for Trindal , ask his manager

I'd be ok with Croft. Been around more than our current halfs and if we do jag the Manly dude then we have experience with youth.

Croft is a poor mans Brooks.

Attack wise probably equal (though Brooks best is much better) but defensively Brooks is much better.
