Other teams have worked out that there's no need to get in the grind with us.
Todd Payten did id it best that if you go set for set with us we'll hang in there all game, but if you go wide early and often and make our halfwit backs make decisions it's an easy win.
There was a point that it looked like we had 3 weapons in the backs. Turns out we've got 1 weapon and 2 cap guns.
Picking Asu on a wing is just crazy. He's a reserve forward or nothing.

It was a great call by Tim, that’s for sure.
He needs to be removed from head coach and put back in the footy director role. That’s where he will be an asset.
 
Getting sick of seeing targets running around with other teams yet we can’t entice anyone , are we scared of offering money over what we think there worth . The knights have gone to England and pulled two good backs to come next year , there is so many young 1/2s who are stuck behind players who will be there for years yet we can’t get them to come over , I CALL bullshit we not going in hard enough , watched never French and play 5/8 this morning he was great , Maitua the backrower the day before right up there with what we got would be a great catch . We were going to through 1.4 million at Moses , so why can’t we take a stab at French , and Sam Walker spend the 1.4 million on them two and give our team what they need two 1/2s with speed and who can play of the cuff because we have nothing going for us with the crap we have now . My rant over 🥴
 
Every game that we play makes us less desirable as a destination for any potential players.
I know that can’t be helped I ie we can’t stop playing) but I’m sure we all watch on the telly and see mistakes that you rarely see in well coached junior teams.
Dare I say it again “ FOCUS ON FUNDAMENTALS” - pleeeeese.

I disagree a little. That game against Newcastle showed we have plenty to work with. Our pack isn't bad. We have two quality players in the spine.

I think the big issue is the lack of talent available in the positions where we are desperate. That leads to massive contracts to marquee players like Moses who get the same money at their current club so we don't get them or taking a risk with an ESL or development player.

He’s been doing that for a long time, think it comes about by being told you’re a special player at a young age.
A lot of centres in the NRL have similar issues, they can’t set their winger up properly so they completely ignore them.

Will Hopoate would be a good signing if he wanted to come back to Oz, even if it's just to play cup and fill in when needed. Class act - bring some professionalism to the squad and help build the culture.

Other than that... Lomax, Parker, Vaega, Weeks, Tass, Strange.. there's options out there, we need to be talking to.

We did better with brooks in this team than without. I’ll expect we will go up a gear if he gets back this season. Only thing that could stop us getting another spoon.

This is what gets me. Those players aren't great. I'd keep Wakeham and maybe Smith. I reckon Wakeham has been great for us. He kicks goals consistently and his defense is great. He is a reserve grader playing NRL and performing. I honestly don't think Hastings was any better last night and I haven't seen anything this year to suggest Hastings is better than Wakeham but Wakeham costs a lot less.

The issue is though bringing in quality players. Trindall, Taafe and Croft are guys that maybe improve us a bit but I can't see massive improvements from those guys. We need like two more Bula's in the halves and a gun outside back. Then we can reassess. That might not be enough.

He is dead set slow. Has a great step and biding his time before moving to the centres. Maybe in lower grades to start.

I'm sure Croft wont be on that size deal even if it is "Like for Like"?

He got beat by Dom Young last night and he just looked slow chasing but I suppose that is Dom Young. He is a threat with the ball and he can belt it back hard.

He isn't a sure thing at this point. I hope he makes it but he needs to work on his game.
