The dire business? Economically speaking Wests Tigers are in a great position. Membership growing. More fans buying into the dream. Fashion and hats, scarfs and podcasts on the rise. Its only dire for the fans. What I would like our CEO to do is actually recognise and admit the dire situation we are in
Recruitment of any Quality NRL level footballers is really difficult almost impossible .
Nobody wants to come to Concord and slowly watch their career credentials dissipate
The evidence for this ! Weve recruited nobody despite a lot of effort .I'm sure many have been approached with no takers .
Now we are desperate for an experienced playmaker and of course Brodie Croft would be a good idea but he has something like a 7 year contract where he is and he would be unlikely to give that up for a 2 or 3 year deal . Failing him there is Sezer who imo must be getting old enough to be a veteran .Failing him there is nobody !!!
Only players who might be attracted are those who have not made it to NRL level yet .
They play Nsw cup or Qld cup or Championship in the UK
Volkman has signed a contract extension with the Warriors but playing behind Shaun Johnson and Luke Metcalf he is unlikely to advance to NRL level .If playing regular NRL for this sydneysider at the tigers is not as good as playing NSW cup for Warriors then WOW
We really have a problem .
First Admit the problem!.Second Analyse why the problem ! Third take immediate steps to fix the problem
Just remember Boss " if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem "
Not a fan?Fair but you have to admit, signing Sezer is very WT.
He has to be to some extent given he has never coached before. Not his fault. He should never have been offered the job. Pascoe and Lee’s fault. They need to go.
Am I reading that Sezer had agreed pending a medical?Hail Sezer!View attachment 5930

Is Scott Fulton’s position at the Wests Tigers becoming untenable? The recruitment boss and Benji Marshall have clashed over the club’s pursuit of Aidan Sezer, writes Phil Rothfield.apple.news
Silly me I've been deluding myself that winning football games and making fans happy is the main goalThe dire business? Economically speaking Wests Tigers are in a great position. Membership growing. 32 year old half who has spent the past 4 seasons in the super league. Not a fan?
A Raiders' fan on the Greenhouse forum mentioned Sezer was coming to the Tigpies retirement home.Am I reading that Sezer had agreed pending a medical?
I get it.32 year old half who has spent the past 4 seasons in the super league.
What’s not to like?
I hope I'm wrong but he's been very unimpressive in Super League. So many mistakes in his game.
Not Fulton. The rest have a history. If only it was that easy. Fulton, benji, Sheens dynamic, is set to put us back another 10 years. Damage is done.
The club is leaking like a sieve againHail Sezer!View attachment 5930

Absolutely the coach and recruitment manager should be on the same page. The coach should be on the selection committee for the role and should have the final say otherwise we end up in a mess eg missing out on players we desperately need so the aggressive recruitment program becomes a disaster. We may get scoffs of mock sympathy from other clubs. If you’re the coach, you should be able to pick your players to a large extent. Yes, it should go through a recruitment process but ultimately the coach’s fate is decided by infield results.
Ideally, recruitment and the coach should work harmoniously however the way Fulton was appointed was always going to end up in disruption. I think it is best for all that he moves on and at least stop some of the media stories.
I also think either Lee and Pascoe (or both) who are responsible for this situation should fall on their sword.
Sheenius wanting Fulton out I would say.The club is leaking like a sieve again
I think you're the most aware on here when it comes to super league, so I always take your comments serious in regards to this...I hope I'm wrong but he's been very unimpressive in Super League. So many mistakes in his game.
I'm hopeful, re: SezarPlenty told us Bateman was cooked. He’s among our best most weeks.
In principal I agree. The coach is the one accountable so needs input into the recruitment. But its a bit like politics, because its the coaches job at stake he can make decisions for the now which aren't necessarily good for the future. I think its the job of the recruiment manager to be a little more future focused. In this case Cogger and Sezar are probably a much of a muchness really. At least sezar has some experience. If you’re the coach, you should be able to pick your players to a large extent. Yes, it should go through a recruitment process but ultimately the coach’s fate is decided by infield results.
