Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Brooks has heart. Does his best. Can you knock h
Sorry. You have no say. You're just a member. But thanks for thinking outside the box
No I agree, and can't knock it, but Brooks is just not a 7, that's why I keep telling Jedi and a few others that Sezar whilst not great would be an upgrade at 7and cheaper, now if they want to talk 6 that's a different story. But 10 years of watching Brooks at 7, I am dead sure I have seen enough to know that is not and never did work

Not being sarcastic but hope he can somehow present a united front (from/on behalf of the club). That everything happening behind the scenes can stay that way.

I only ask for one drama free week 🙏🙏🙏
I hope he can but I doubt it.

It’s not clear who is running the show from Lee, Pascoe, Sheens and Benji. I think they all individually think they do.

To be clear your 2024 roster of 27 includes
Mansfield
Feledy
Galvin
Da Silva
Laulilii
Miller
Kepoa
Ngatkaura
Tumeth
Reilly
Fainu (Sione)
Douehi (maybe back 2025)
That's 12 of your 27 . Do you think they all deserve a place ?
I'm just speculating that Miller, Laulilii and Da Silva will go in, maybe Aitasi James too (Da Silva obviously very likely).

My actual 2024 roster list has 24/30. It's in the below thread:

In regards to all of them deserving a place, no they don't, but like I said earlier, the drama our club is in means that maybe the only way we keep these young kids is offering them Top 30 spots early.

I stand by my comment, Sezar is a better 7 than Brooks, he has far more of the attributes of a 7 than Brooks, and that is what we have needed for a very long time. Do I think Sezar is a star, no I don't, would I have preferred someone else, yes I would, but he will be an upgrade at 7 on less dollars
Agree as a 7. The club has been very upfront about wanting an experienced half (tried to recruit Muster, Moses, Pearce and Johnson). Talk was they were also happy with a shorter term option for a couple of years mentoring but not blocking path of some of our talented younger halves.

Sezer is likely a better 7 than what we have currently. Could work ok if we can sign a good running, attacking 6 (even if they were young). Would love to get Ethan Sanders and then go for an older 6 (Croft?).

Also if we get Fainu I’m not too worried about blocking our young halves. Why not try to be in a position where we have too many half options in 3-4 years rather than our current situation with basically zero. That would be a luxury and then allow us to look for trades to fill other positions as required. Can never have enough talent on your books (especially in spine positions).
