I want to make it clear that the board in its 'current form' is failing and they dont have my support.

But I find it very hard to believe that you as a Professional Counsellor would not have plan B in place when you are trying to solve a client's problem in case plan A fails.
So obviously imo, the same applies with the action you and Cochise as the main signatories to this petition are taking against the board currently.

I dont like to admit it but I dont trust Cochise to have the best interest of all WT fans at heart.

I believe over the years he has been one of the chief head kickers if not the chief head kicker, in relation to any Wests Magpie fan that has come on here and spoken positively about the Magpies, even though he apparently knew rite from the start that the NRL owned the WT title, and the name could not be changed back to Wests Magpies.

That to me over many years has shown and still shows a total lack of respect for ex and current Wests Magpies fans and could be the reason why there appears to be so few Magpie/WT fans on here relative to the number of ex and current Balmain Tiger's/WT fans.

And with that in mind I believe you and, Cochise in particular, are being evasive [avoiding the issue, not straightforward, intentionally vague or ambiguous] as to what your intentions are further down the track if this current petition fails to gain your desired outcome.

If I have misjudged the intention of this petition or any further petition or action, and an agreeable to all outcome is attained, I will be only too happy to apologise.

But atpit I choose not to sign your petition.

Plan A is to show the club we as fans are upset and want them to consider taking action to try and determine what the issues are with the club.

Plan B is decided upon based on the response we get from the club. Naturally, further action could include strategies such as banners at games, protests, media campaigns etc.

Seriously, don’t over think it 😂

I didn't know there was a tally.

I'm an ex Maggie and I have no problem with cochise or anyone involved with the petition, if anything I find cochise very very respectful

, the only Magpies fans I have spoken against are one that say they want to return to the Magpies brand. that is totally unacceptable. I have also done the same with former Balmain fans

Now counter to that I have argued in favour of reserve grade retaining the Magpies branding, in sure Jedi will corroborate that.

I have commended WA's preservation of balmain's history and identity.

Mate I support Wests Tigers

Regardless of our pre-2000 affiliation, we are united as Wests Tigers!

There is no Balmain Tigers or Wests Magpies in the NRL, only Wests Tigers.

I was as passionate a Balmain supporter growing up in the 80s & 90s as you would find, so much so that the last time I actually cried was after extra time in the 1989 GF.

Now I love the Wests Tigers and support both Balmain & Wests in the junior reps.

People bringing up allegiances to Wests or Balmain now on the forum is not only tiresome, it's pointless & not achieving anything!

It's actually embarrassing the club is a mess & all these guys are worried about is clubs that haven't played first grade in over 20 years. Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Wests & Balmain have to merge because they were both shit?

I joined a Magpie group on facebook to try & find out more history about the club but couldn't even last a day in there as all I was seeing was people complaining about the colour orange & that Wests need to be brought back to the NRL.

As an ex magpie I couldn't disagree anymore to your thoughts on Cochise. He's definitely moved on from the former clubs. You don't seem to have though.

@BZN and most definitely @Magpie_Magic as well as @cochise .

It’s fairly obvious to all and sundry here who your allegiances were (and still are - reasonable so) as clearly as it’s taken the course of bitter resentment and trolling a petition of all things, on a forum that’s literally named Wests Tigers.

Blokes like Geoff had had it up to here with the back and forth ‘banter’ which I’d more likely term minor annoyance and the reason members have been leaving in a steady stream since our latest turmoil began, based on what they may/may not have thought about this merger 23 years ago and beyond.

I’m old enough to know that this crap needs to stop if anybody wants any kind of action to be registered and actually entertained by governing bodies/Wests Ashfield, etc. but didn’t ever feel an allegiance to either club prior to Wests Tigers and that unity running through my generations’ blood is what you fella’s need to tap into.

I’m not the monarch here or even a moderator who’s condoning calling out the petty grudge’s, but it needs to stop for us to have unity and peace as supporters. Seems the figureheads at our clubs can sense ALL of our disillusionment and panic and therefore will use that as more reason to keep us in the dark.

Please, for the sake of the fans show some maturity and keep this lighthearted 🤦🏽

Not true. Your take.

If some younger people don't care about the identity this club is forged on others do.

And the rest of us only follow this club due to the legacy clubs. Mightn't be important to you but it is to others.

As for @TieDye and @Tim Sheens comments re a Wests v Balmain thing or @cochise mentioning the Magpies supporters are pushing for a return of the Magpies...this in untrue. Over the last few years on this forum fans from the Magpies side of the JV are not welcomed with the same enthusiasm as those from the Balmain side.

Most move on.

What most from the Wests side want is no dilution of our identity within the JV.

At least I don't bother posting under multiple accounts trying to chip away at the edges.

Many have called on here fo the club to be just called the Tigers playing out of LO.

Call out a post of mine which pushes for that type of BS in reverse.
