He’s a cunning and clever rat.Repeated the same thing today that he guarantees the Tigers are on the way up. Then it got me thinking cause he also admitted to visiting Fainu in prison and mentoring the two guys were after. He's talking the Tigers up in public, rubbishing us to the Fainus to get them signed cheaper under the cap. Reason he's talking us up is so if they do sign for the dogs Gould can't be accused of using his media presence as influence in his role as head of football. Which he does all the time. He's a rat.
Maybe so, but is a nice thought.Tino isn't signing here mate Holbrook or no Holbrook
If you read the actual Quote he doesn't say he's being targeted. Just that he's a great player and he's sure his name would come up in internal conversationsI wish the Chairman would stop commenting on 'possible' recruitment targets, just shut the F up Lee and let Fulton & Benji recruit who they want.
cmon mate, I mean , seriously? doihei played as if the opposition had spiders on them, Brooks had 3 decent games and our backline depth is terrible… nobody could have done better with incompetent inept halves we have had this year.. team had no idea what to do…It is more or less the same. The 17 year olds are rookies, raw and with much to learn before they're thrown in. Occasionally an 18 year olds gets a run and thrives most take a few years to learn and adapt.
Benji was a coaching rookie, never coached or even been an assistant coach. Totally raw. The number of games he's played is irrelevant, not all great players are made for coaching. Most aren't.. most coaches were modest players who were great students of the game. Everyone at the club needs to prove themselves and earn their positions through merit. Sure it's not as obvious whether a coach is up for it as they're not out there missing tackles in plain sight. But going off how we've performed this season, and the motivation levels of the squad he hasn't demonstrated any real coaching ability yet.
From the article:
"We have cap space and we have the money for a player of Payne Haas’ calibre.
His name would be floated at our list-management committee meetings, it would have to be.
It would be naive to think that a player of the calibre of Payne Haas would not be the subject of consideration internally.
I don’t partake in discussions at that level, so I can’t comment affirmatively, but I would be very surprised if Payne Haas’ name is not being raised internally, as you would expect it to be.
Payne would be an incredible addition to any roster, but whether Benji wants another middle, that’s for him and Tim Sheens to ultimately determine moving forward.
In my experience, generally when big-name players test the market, they tend to stay where they are.
Precedent tells us that the vast majority of these marquee players stay loyal.
Look at Cameron Munster, Mitchell Moses, Shaun Johnson and Kalyn Ponga.
It’s not often you see high-profile, marquee players move from club to club, but they are perfectly entitled to test their worth on the open market.
Payne Haas is a wonderful player, but the final decision will rest with Tim and Benji."

"Payne is a beast, he’s probably the best prop in the game with his motor and workrate.
He’s a monster and he’s the prop in the game I want to be like.
He is a big guy who leads by action and doesn’t say too much at training but on the field he runs so hard, and that’s what I want to build my game around."
- Stefano Utoikamanu
"We’ve had interest from all 16 clubs.
He hasn’t had the chance to test his value, so we want to make sure his deal is fair on the open market and if it is, he will never complain in the future.
We can’t put a value on him, he is worth what any club will pay for him.
We just want transparency on his true value and Payne employs me, so he will make the final decision."
- Ahmad Merhi
I think he might. Particularly if Benji is calling the shots by then.do you think Latu will start the season?
God being hired as one of the assistant coaches? At least they're good God fearing boys.
Who cares? No offence, I just mean nobody should be looking for validation from Fox SportsNRL360 tonight will be interesting…..betcha they state the only reason the Fainu boys signed with us is because they wanted to stay in Sydney…they won’t talk up the WT at all…watch
Daine has always given his best for us, cannot fault him on that.I would love for Daine to stay.. he can play, he has been thrown in at the deep end in woe real bad teams and always put the effort in… put him in a team with some good players around him and Daine could be anything, imo , truly.. I still really like Daine
Who even says Sezer will be on a one year deal, if he signs? The only details i've seen were a 1+1 (club option) deal, which makes the most sense. can extend if he's doing well, cut him loose if he's not...It smells like fulton has put benji in his place. 1 year deal for benjis guy. The one who has not played 1st grade gets 4...fultons guy. I think we know who won the secret meeting.
Benji is not even offically the coach when sezer is here. I find it strange the guy he wants he wont coach...
No, he’s with Sportsplayer Management, which is Tyran Smith’s agency. Is this player manager a one man show?
Yepdo you think Latu will start the season?
I wouldn't mind if this rat was in the Tigers' corner. Bloke knows his footy, however you want to dice it.He’s a cunning and clever rat.
No, he’s with Sportsplayer Management, which is Tyran Smith’s agency.

. . . and then carve up a whole succulent rump into juicy steaks at his shop. Mmmmm . . . steaks.John was a great fullback. Spent many happy hours watching him carve opposition teams up at Lidcombe Oval and elsewhere.
Galvin is very good / great IQ.Either Sezer for a 2nd year with Lachlan Galvin seen as the future 7 or if our additional 5/8 secured for next season can transition to halfback in '25 (Brodie Croft or Luke Metcalf mmmm).
