Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The Fainu's, Api, the 'secret meeting' etc....now this Chris Lawrence thing....the 360 reporters are starting to get exposed for the click baiters they really are.

Maybe Read isn't the worst. But the others are very questionable- MOSTLY Hooper & Buzz, who are clearly more impressed with themselves than any kind of actual journalism

Can you pass that onto NRL 360, they laughed and reckon the Dolphins pulled out last week(despite Read reporting they formally offered a 4 year deal and were favourites). They said the Tigers were bidding against ourselves for the boys….the only person who doesn’t bash the Tigers is Gordie….
Tell Tales used up all his Wests Tigers bashing on Robbie a few years back.

4pm and FoxSports still hasn’t posted an Api extension article. Bit salty maybe after all their doomsaying recently and the club has had back to back positive signing days. Love my Foxtel Sports but worn down by recent years of negative WT articles and stories from them. Hopefully start winning again and they can focus elsewhere…or even pen a positive story or 2!
Give them some time.

They're probably on afternoon tea breaks.

This afternoon Read and Carayannis posted a story about Samuela F being in a bit of strife following an incident after the U/19's Origin. Apparently he broke curfew and had an altercation with a QLD player. These reporters are all as bad as each other.
Notice a couple of them have started to dig into Hass as well, saying he's not worth 1 million, he's no Glen Lazarus etc. Don't be surprised if they have inside knowledge that he's coming our way too - lol

Are you guessing teddy or do you have inside info? Accurate info?
Verbal agreement - nothing officially signed as of yet but looks likely. We were shopping him but after recent performances the club are happy to give him an extension plus a starting gig as he has improved out of sight. Probably because the reality of him leaving and going to England was growing by the day.

Blore is very loyal to the club due to us backing him through his injuries - only way this doesn't happen is if we change our mind from our side he wants to be here and help turn the club around.

Blake Austin eyeing a return to the NRL. Article out about him being open to playing a 14 role. Any takers?

Getting on a bit with age and hasn’t played in the NRL for years, but maybe a 1 year deal as a backup half/hooker or a 14 utility while TDS develops in and out of grade?

Has experience and a previous combo with Sezer if we get him.

Not sold, but can see some value there potentially as a bit of an old head around some the young guys.

Amazing how the story breaks now. If he went to Redcliffe we probably would have never heard of it.

Young forward Samuela Fainu was involved in a heated altercation with Queensland players just hours after last week’s State of Origin under-19s game, the incident playing a part in the Dolphins’ decision to withdraw their offer to the Manly back rower.

Fainu, who captained the Blues under-19s, is understood to have exchanged words with members of the Queensland camp in the early hours of Friday morning as he looked to settle the score over comments made during the Origin game. There were also claims he made his way to the Maroons hotel to find the player responsible.

It is understood he was told the Queensland player at the centre of the claims had left camp and was sent on his way. The news has come to light a day after Fainu and his brother Latu — another member of the NSW under-19 side — inked big-money deals with the Wests Tigers for next season. Manly were unaware of the incident when contacted by Sport Confidential on Wednesday and it is believed they contacted the NSWRL to seek some clarity.

However, it is understood the incident played a part in the Dolphins’ shock decision to withdraw their offer to the Fainu brothers late last week, having initially tabled a deal after talks between the Fainu family and Dolphins coach Wayne Bennett.

Fainu’s agent Mario Tartak said Samuela had been subject to ugly abuse about his brother Manase — currently in jail over a stabbing incident — during the game.

“It’s almost at the bullying stage with the comments about his brother and his family,” Tartak said.

“Unfortunately it is part of his life now. He’s a young bloke and he is copping it.”

Fainu was involved in a heated exchange with Queensland forward Ben Te Kura during the game after the Maroons player had put a shot on his brother Latu. Te Kura is regarded as one of the rising stars at the Brisbane Broncos. Samuela Fainu and his brother Latu were at the centre of a bidding war between the Dolphins and the Tigers, having been given permission to explore the market by the Sea Eagles. (DT)

Thanks mate

Hope he signs the contact soon

Been given permission to explore the market by the Sea Eagles? They were off contract and free to negotiate, they didn't need Manly's permission to negotiate. And the Dolphins never pulled their offer, the Fainu's were always coming to us. The media trying to run this propaganda as if we didn't sign two of the best young prospects in the game and no one wanted them... they're crap now apparently

By the way the Dolphins were quietly told no like I stated about a week ago - they withdrew there offer with the belief they weren't prepared to leave NSW.

I like Sanders but I'd prefer Pezet easily - hopefully we re-visit that with the long term goal of Pezet and Fainu.

I'd even play Sezier at 6 and Pezet at 7 with Latu getting one more year in NSW cup to make sure his development goes as smoothly as possible.

Pezet similar to Sanders played in last years U19's NSW team and had 4 try assists and won MOTM - he's the better prospect imo
That may be true, and I agree with Pezet. But I don’t think he would be keen to come to us especially with belemy being his coach. He will be keen on a stronger club, I think we have/had more chances with Sanders!
