Pat Cummings having a shocker his captaining terrible .His bowling expensive and his fielding shocking twice his missed chances in the field .Also gets out 1st ball of the day
Hazelwood and Green not effective as well
Thank God for Starc 36 not out with bat and 2 wickets the only 2 wickets
Cummings should hand captaincy to Smith as the pressure of it all is affecting his own play and his field placing mean they get runs just by putting bat on ball

The problem with our team is the batting, not the bowling.
Our batsmen pussy fart about letting the opposition pile up maiden overs after maiden overs….you need to score runs to win. When Labrador was batting, Taylor was pulling his little tool over how well he left the ball. “Oh that was a great leave there”….England say you can score off most balls if you are good enough. These blokes are doing it easily on the same pitch. Good on them for entertaining.

I sorta agree but our bowlers aren’t doing much with the ball which makes it easier for England to be aggressive.

178 runs in a session off 25 overs .Apart from Starc the bowling attack and field placings terrible .The worst 2 hours I can remember by an Australian side in the field .
The strategy remove the following methods of getting a wicket
Bowled ,LBW ! Caught slips ,Caught wicket keeper ,
Hoping for a catch in the deep as the only method and stop the runs and went for 7 an over
Coach Andrew say something .Pat needs a rest Smudge take over

The probs have started with the top order not making runs except Uzi. Selectors should’ve known, Warner and Marnus have terrible overseas averages, Warner should’ve been tapped on the shoulder at Sydney airport. You’re not leaving Marnus at home, but at least we could’ve bought another opener with us.
Then the pressure is applied to the field, and Pats captaincy, I don’t think we’ve been patient enough with our own field placing and plans, and at times we’ve been a step behind the game. Add to that Pat can’t captain spin.
The Poms have been great, playing a highly entertaining, aggressive game, and this is doubling the pressure on Pats captaincy.
We need to get back to our game. Restrict the run flow, pick a plan for each batsmen, bowl well and to the plan, be patient and take all our chances.
Who knows the rain dance? It’s been a while since I’ve done it.

Our blokes could have done this. They are batting on a road.
They look scared of the English bowlers and the pommy bats aren’t worried by ours at all.
We had to bat 2 full days in our first innings to break them. Our weak effort has emboldened them.

Bazball does not differentiate , whoever they play. It’s a mindset of taking on the game, not waiting for it to come to you. It has its ups and downs but imo it’s a breath of fresh air. Innovation deserves recognition.
