Daine Laurie #237

I was thinking it was down Tupou's wing. Looked at the team lists and it seemed to make me think it was Nofo's side. But I swore it looked more like Tupou.

I also saw that Nofo had 4 tackles, 2 missed tackles. Tupou 4 tackles with 1 missed. ...

We need to fix this. It was just rince and repeat. Melbourne don't need such help.

AJ messed up the D line coming in at centre

Been calling for him to be 5/8 for ages, would have been great with Brooks at 7.

We don't have many x-factor players, have to make room for him IMO.
Agree. I dont understand why it took so long to give him the opportunity. There must be something going on in the background.
Some here seem to think he's on the way out the door. Anyone have any evidence of that because I hope he is staying.

When he was dropped he spent weeks in reggies kicking stones with a generally bad attitude. He was blowing up at his teammates for his own mistakes. He made it hard to pick him, then he got injured. Now he has his chance to prove his worth at 6.
I don't know why he'd be asking to go back to Penrith. Who out of Cleary, Luai and Edwards does he think he'll be replacing?

Watching Dayne play today made me wonder why there's so much fuss about Brooks leaving. Dayne did it all ...

- worried defence with speed and footwork - check
- big tackles - check
- grubber in goal - check (though he failed to cause a 7 tackle set like Luke usually does)
- passes that go to ground - check.

DL has Brooks's bases covered. Next year Sezer can organise everyone and it could be like the Broncos when Reynolds arrived. We have lots of good players and up and comers, who just need to be organised.

Our end of sets is diabolically bad. Wakeham is totally clueless. Hopefully Sezer fixes that.

He disappeared in the second half.
He was dynamic in the first half.

Our 6 and 7 options at present are horrific.

Horrific I tell you.

What? He created on the left edge many times in the 2nd half. It was made hard for him because Cummins continually gave Saints penalties coming out if their end. So we started most our sets on our line. One set we didn't Wakeham dropped the ball early. Laurie definitely put in all 80 minutes. Hid defence was aggressive right to the end too
