From memory, Tedesco had limited playmaking skills when he started. Even now, he isn't an 'elite' playmaker at the back. His game has always been based on running and support play. How are you convinced he’s a long term fullback when he does not have any playmaking skills or any idea how to create overlaps like the elite NRL fullbacks do ?
I am aware he’s young and apparently very coachable, so could very well develop these skills given time, but we are running last two years straight, we have the worst attack in the NRL we don’t have time to wait, we need players who fit the description of the position they are playing now.
As Tucker stated Bula could become a rep centre/winger very fast, he’s nowhere near a rep standard fullback just yet.
As for Miller, he’s no project player, I repeat he was leading the entire NRL for tackle busts before Ponga took his spot. He has the necessary playmaking and passing game to regularly create tries and try scoring opportunities and it’s clear we struggle in this area.
fulton trying to lure weakes over next
All depends really. In reality there is no difference between coming second and coming last. The Dragons aren’t going to be coming first in the remaining years of Hunts contract. Second to that, Hunt basically caries the Dragons. Sure he is probably the ideal senior player for mentor a group of young halves but I’m not sure Dragons have much in the cupboard besides Sullivan and they want to flick him out. I guess it depends if Flanno wants to distribute his cap money elsewhere and strengthen other areas; I’d say if he can get someone who can equally mentor / get a team round the park, he’ll let hunt go.I know one of his old staff members from the Sharks and he always said Flannagan is like a dog with a bone he just won't let go or give up I think Hunt has more chance of sitting out the season then getting a release
Didn’t Bula play centre/wing at the titans, and by the same token can Miller play centre? How are you convinced he’s a long term fullback when he does not have any playmaking skills or any idea how to create overlaps like the elite NRL fullbacks do ?

Parra, Dragons and Tigers showing interest as he has been given permission to look around.Didnt weakes just re sign with manly?
I think he also could replace LaurieDidn’t Bula play centre/wing at the titans, and by the same token can Miller play centre?
Either way with Miller it comes down to dollars and roster spots, he looks a real competitor at times and could be good cover for injuries. But I’m not going to far north of minimum and only if he’s an upgrade, like getting rid of flippers.
Going to the Raiders apparentlyWatched Lachlan lam this morning he would be a great signing for us , and get his dad as benjis assistant .
But my number one signing I would love to see is bevan French the bloke is a freak
Crap 💩Going to the Raiders apparently
Jesus… how many halfbacks do the Raiders need?Going to the Raiders apparently
Weekes has the speed we don't currently have. Question is though- winger, centre or fullback? I'd guess winger?Parra, Dragons and Tigers showing interest as he has been given permission to look around.
On the flip side, if he ends up at Parramatta don’t be surprised if you see a Simpkins for Dejarn Asi trade occur.

I would be shying away from players (like Weakes) who don’t have a settled position. We need to recruit players who can fulfil specific roles and improve positions of weakness. Rather than find more guys who can do a job but ultimately leave us still no looking to improve.Weekes has the speed we don't currently have. Question is though- winger, centre or fullback? Asi is interesting. Has bounced around early in his career. He could be that running 5/8 we need, at least short term.
Very good point. There are pro's & con's for utility value. A winger that can cover fullback, for example. But, someone without a settled position is different.I would be shying away from players (like Weakes) who don’t have a settled position. I agree with specialists. Weakes is a junior 5/8 and played fullback in first grade. Would be good cover with Laurie departing.
