Not sure where to post this. I’ll be very disappointed if it turns out that our men’s NRL team were not in attendance for our NRLW team’s first ever game.

I understand that our players have to have certain number of day’s off but this was a milestone occasion for the CLUB.

Now they may have but I haven’t seen anything posted by our players on Insta.

If they did not attend, it says a lot about our club’s management & leadership tbh.

I'd say they've been on the piss all weekend.

Seems to me that there are people on here that have no idea what this petition is all about and I can't help but think that some people that are dead set against this petition have not even read it.

For the benefit of those that have not read the petition, I have reproduced the wording below:

The signatories of this petition demand that the Wests Tigers organisation be subjected to a thorough external review, encompassing all aspects of the organisation.

This would include all aspects of governance, operational leadership, administration, day to day operations and football department operations/structures.

This petition will be shared with the senior management of Wests Tigers/Wests Ashfield.

Come on mate, you know that Homebush is the ideal location for our home ground, only problem is that we got ripped off with the originally proposed development being canned, totally disgusting decision when that ground is used by multiple tenants and for a variety of events.

In the mean time the slimy Parramatta Eels and the Roorters get a ground that is basically their very own home ground and claim it as theirs, the Chocolate Soldiers get promised their very own home ground that is used for virtually nothing other than their 12 odd home games each year and the existing ground they currently play on doesn't have all that much wrong with it as it stands today.

A very interesting listen to Shannon Cavanagh, former Magpies Chair, on the board setup & governance of the WT.

Explains how fans can impact change to the WT board.

Sounds like we should all become members of Wests Ashfield & attend the AGM to lobby for change.

He was quite optimistic that a few key personnel changes to the board can turn the club around.

🤮

Wow, 1816+ signatures. I guess you and @cochise have been too busy counting all those names to notice my post no. 189165 in 'signing suggestions and rumours'.
So, I suggest this is the 2nd opportunity you both have to tell us or not, about your thoughts in regard to Robbie Farah.
Lots of other posters have told us their opinion, but I'm most interested in yours.

Almost - 1800 Signatures
Including 500 shopkeepers and 500 Penrith supporters as requested.
Let's put it in context. They've been trawling for signatures for the never ending petition for weeks. It's pretty pathetic.
A petition on ACA last night in a small Victorian town for a local council got the same amount of signatures.
At last count there are 400,000 Wests supporters .
Let's halve that and say 200,000
They haven't even garnered 1% support.
They're the "Stark raving looney Party" that contests federal elections.
Time to go back to the 3 listeners on the podcast.

I don’t know any more than any other fan Re Farah. I know that he has an education and business experience, he also seems like a confident guy.

I’m not exactly sure why you might think my opinion on Farah, or that of Cochise, has anything to do with the petition though.

Yet you still havent given us your thoughts on the matter... This being the second time I've asked.
Don't be a smartarse to others when you do exactly the same thing yourself

I can only assume it’s because you are petitioning for change and it has come out that Robbie wants a role in management

Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the petition helmesy.
But as you and @cochise are the main signatories to the petition, I am interested to know both of your opinions on various matters re our jv as they pop up from time to time which could be linked to the petition.

And 'once again' it seems Cochise doesn't consider my requests for his opinion re. certain people or aspects of WT and/or the petition important enough to bother replying.
And with you being a counsellor, 'how does that make me feel'.
1. You at least have the courtesy to reply.
2. Cochise's attitude leads me to believe he is very anti anyone that comes on here with a strong Wests Magpies point of view.

I also believe there are many on here from the Wests Magpies side of 'Our Joint Venture' that are not prepared for whatever reason to give their pov in support of or against the petition from the Magpies side.

Once again, I say I am certainly not against a board shake up as I feel it's very important that does happen.
And finally, I certainly dont want to see this petition roll on to become the 1st step of a Wests Magpies bashing exercise.

Confident or cocky?

Or Balmain Tigers bashing. The fans seems that they can evolve - become 1. The problem is above - in the office. When finally one day they respect the fans, this management- united and not divided at the surplus of their interests can we all move forward.

Wests Tigers in their current predicament as a professional men’s rugby league team are a mess. That 2,000 people care enough to sign a petition is very fortunate for them. Lee’s claim that they have 400,000 “fans” is absolutely laughable. I’ve seen maybe 2 or 3 out of a few hundred on this forum who oppose change.

If it continues in its current ownership and management model, the club might just need to stick to running an amateur women’s team, they seem capable of that.

Edit: the 2000 loyal souls (minus Parramatta fans and family members) who showed up to watch the women’s team are likely more indicative of the number of people who haven’t completely had enough.
I was there but have had enough.

I would think Farah is a little inexperienced for a senior management role, but don't really have the knowledge of his CV to make a fair call on that.
