Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

When does the club say Enough us Enough and go hard at DT and Fox ??

Blind Freddy can see they have and agenda and it's getting beyond a joke tbh.
I know winning helps but every day they have like 2-3 Negative stories about the club even if we have a win etc.. We signed the Fainu boys and extended Api yet nothing positive.

It has a massive effect on the brand and they don't touch certain clubs as they know they will be called out but we just keep taking it.

I am losing the love for the game and feel the club could do something if they wanted.

Dogs sign some fringe 1st graders and it's a love feast and no talk about how the Fainu boys knocked them back for us.
Don't listen to hotdogs!

The not-so-secret meeting that could solve the Tigers’ halves dilemma

Is this the moment Wests Tigers halves dramas are resolved?

At about 11am on Thursday, Jayden Sullivan, with his family and agent in tow, took a tour of the Wests Tigers’ COE.

That process began with a not-so-secret meeting at the Tigers’ headquarters at Concord.
Sullivan toured the facilities and met with Tigers powerbrokers as he pondered swapping one struggling joint-venture outfit for another. He met with Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe, chairman Lee Hagipantelis and recruiter Scott Fulton. Coach Tim Sheens and his successor, Benji Marshall, preparing the team for Friday’s clash with South Sydney in Tamworth, weren’t able to meet Sullivan personally.

However, Marshall gave his pitch via Zoom during Sullivan’s 90-minute tour of the facilities. A formal offer is expected to be tabled next week.
“It was a very positive meeting,” said Sullivan’s manager, Mario Tartak.

“Jayden’s excited about exploring his options and the Tigers made a good impression. He was blown away with their Centre of Excellence.”

Sullivan has almost certainly played his last game for the Red V. A hamstring issue has ended his season, the latest in a string of injury dramas that have limited the Wests Illawarra junior to just 27 games. The 21-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential during those appearances, although incoming Dragons coach Shane Flanagan is prepared to cut him loose. (SMH)

Hamstring issues is always concerning

Was just told Sezer is coming next year, club option for 2nd year. I'd imagine we get everything across the line and sign Sullivan first then announce Sezer if that's the case.

I don't mind the club option for a 2nd year, if he plays well you definitely keep him on and give Latu that time he needs maybe playing 14 like Ben Barba used to do

If we get/have Sezer, Latu Finau, and Sullivan, plus Douhie (out most of next year) for next year that is very good given what we have now imo. All are likely to be on cost controlled/appropriate contracts (from what I’m reading - excluding Douhie). Sezer’s contract would essentially be year to year (perfect). Finau (4years) and Sullivan (presumably) have longer contracts and MASSIVE upside.

I’d take my hat off to the club if they can do this. I don’t think they could have done any better in the circumstances.

AD is on about 650k, would be good if club could pay that out of this year and look for another player for 2024

Sezer, Sullivan and Fainu is a pretty good outcome considering what’s available. Sullivan can cover multiple positions if Fainu hits the ground running. The club will need to get ahead of Sullivan’s hamstring issues though so he sees out the season.

As much as Doeuihi is a write off for half of next season I think those 4 are enough.
