Our forwards are better, but not elite. We still need to build on this as a strength and the rest will come from it. Look at the Warriors for instance; most of their recruits this year were in their forwards. Our forwards
In more than 50% of the games we’ve lost we’ve won the stats
We just haven’t had a conductor to setup the final plays to score
That’s all we’ve missed.
Hastings would’ve done this.
That’s what everyone on here is missing.
We’ve won the stats!!!! Just haven’t converted to points.
And before everyone says hastings doesn’t have many assists etc… all he needs to do is setup the movements
Trying to convince people that we would’ve been near the top 8 with him this year is a waste of time … like trying to teach my 6yr old nephew algebra.
For all those that supported my comments I’m glad we have a majority of people on here who understand footy … for the rest of you ,
you’re an unfortunate product of Wests tigers mediocrity / luke brooks fandom / and just pure blind fan hope … I feel sorry for you lol
Teddy is signed until end of 25. I’m not even sure why he would be in the conversation?A struggling team such as ours cannot afford to pass up a player like Teddy.
I’m a big advocate that a good young player will always be superior to a good old player, but similar to Api, Teddy is no standard ageing player, he would bring a massive amount of experience and confidence to our struggling club.
If he does come surely it will be to play fullback and what better way for a young talent such as Bula to fast track his learning than watching and learning from Teddy.
Bula could be exceptionally good for us in the centres or on the wing for a couple of years before taking over from Teddy as our fullback.
Prehaps, but you’ve got to remember Douehi was mostly playing fullback when he got injured. I think he just moved back to 5/8 that game. The thing is we have gone backwards because of injuries. Yes the start to the year was horrendous, but 2 things have to be acknowledged there.
1. Brooks had no pre season and AD returning from major knee surgery. Both needed games under their belt, and that started to show in the Parra game where AD unfortunately got injured again.
2. I believe Benji acknowledges the tactics in the early rounds were all wrong and he takes a lot of blame for it.
We then adjusted our tactics, Brooks got some games under his belt, and Api found his feet. We looked better then we have in years. Then we lose Api and Brooks for extended periods....game over.
I don't care what your thoughts are (not u Earl) on AD and Brooks, the fact is, any team that loses its 2 starting halves and hooker n captain will fail miserably which we obviously did.
A smarter start to the year by the coaches and not losing Api and Brooks I believe we are around 8th to 10th.
IMO we are much better then last year.
Bulldogs have only lost Kikau yet they get a free ride with commentators continually pointing out their so called injury woes. Losing 3 of our spine barley gets a mention. Its disgusting.
And contracts mean what?Teddy is signed until end of 25. I’m not even sure why he would be in the conversation?
True. But if we use AD at half we will always be bottom 4 team. Time to move on from this experiment. So much better on its way. But could provide depth at least for KOE. Anyway what ever AD could do at 6. Teddy would do but 5 times better - more speed, better defence, better passing and support game. Only thing AD has is a big boot. So can see so many better options in my opinion. Especially if we want to be in top half or ladder rather than bottom.Prehaps, but you’ve got to remember Douehi was mostly playing fullback when he got injured. I think he just moved back to 5/8 that game.
Speculation Roosters are trying to force him out as part as their roster reshuffle to allow Joey Manu to be their regular fullback.Teddy is signed until end of 25. I’m not even sure why he would be in the conversation?

Teddy is gone he is playing for a pay cheque now and has only played 2 very good games this year in a weaken squad like the Tiger's he would be terribly bad Bula is the future don't help the Rooster's out at allwith Teddy at 6 don’t expect the centres to see any ball
I am not talking about Toa. We have some seriously good kids, Heath Mason, Luke Laulilii (forgive spelling) are just two names that a outside backs that will surpass a run down Teddy within a couple of years. I don’t accept your loyalty point when it comes to him. They gave him the keys to the castle not once but twice and he crapped on us. The club made big decisions based on him staying. His heart was never in it for us. This my opinion and I am extremely strong on giving him a miss.
Gone backwards after acquiring 4 international forwards… Hastings never got a chance to play behind this years pack ..This one cracked me up. I love all the Hastings comments. It's hilarious. We had Hastings dudes. We came last. Sure we've gone backwards this year but only because there is another team in the comp.
I would throw up in my mouth a little if that jacksss ever came back. To leave the club at his absolute peak, win 2 Premierships, then come back when he’s finished, in the guise of some LeBron “I want to win a comp with the club I started with“ BS would be insulting beyond belief. Thankfully, it won’t happen. Uncle Nick would have his whole post-playing career sorted, He’s a made man. Latte sipper for life.
Speculation about Tedesco being forced out goes against generally what the Roosters do, which is look after their established players even once injuries hit them.
Tedesco will retire, before playing for another club. It’s easy to forget he will be 31 next year. So he could easily retire once his next contract is up.Uncle Nick moves on from players pretty quick when they lose a step
I reckon that had something to do with the best halfback of the modern era falling into their lapMitchell Pearce got moved on pretty quick ,,, not much loyalty shown to him
