Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I think he went into the game injured.
Reeled out of a tackle with shoulder/arm pain, just before being beaten by Manu for his first try. Had only just got back to his feet
It looked like a head clash to me. Talau would've stayed down but Parker got straight back up.
I also liked that he didn't drop his lollies after things didn't go his way and did some good things later in the match.

Bradman Best was burned three times on the outside by our players including Bula during the WTs' game. Is that a huge red flag for an Origin player?

F

ffs we have Feledy there primed for his shot…
Not too many 21 year old centres are great defenders, and even less can do the things Best does with the ball.

It’s a tough place to impress here. People Will remember the time you dropped a ball 5 years ago and death ride the rest of your career.

Best is lightyears ahead of any of our centres, granted he not an immortal, but neither are our current lot.

Centre is a tough position to defend. Young Feledy will learn from that and be better for it. In saying that, imo there was no better defender in the centres than ET, also had exceptional pace. His first year he couldn't tackle at all and worked hard in the off season to the point where he was known as the best defensive centre in the rugby league. It should be an inspiration to all young players.

Matt Cooper from the Dragons was a brilliant defensive centre and Steve Rogers was also in ET’s class. Elford did a good job for us in 2005 but was not in the class of the names above.

Having centres with genuine pace would help us greatly in defence
