OFFICIAL Sheens gone

This is a good move but an even better move would be to remove Lee Pascoe and the entire board of idiots we have as well as Sheens because they are the cretins who decided to appoint him to the coaching position,a position he was at least a decade out of touch with.
I wonder if Sheens will sue the club again like he did last time
It does say Sheens management notified the club of his intention to quit.

Sheens wrote his death card when he backed brooks over hastings as a half back

And then saying after 7 losses we need a half back

And now the club has neither brooks nor hastings and the Knights are in the 8

Make no mistake the board members reviewed this and saw it as the reason this season failed

I have spoken to two of them and this is what “one” of the issues was.

They backed brooks because of sheens even though a few of them preferred hastings and now they’ve been justified so they knifed him.
Don't forget just before the Brisbane game , Sheens said douhie was the best fullback in the team despite persisting with Diane, swapping to Charlie and finally blooding Bula 😮‍💨

I'm not sure the board had much to do with this. The original article stated that Sheens management had told the club he had enough. That paragraph wasn't in what was posted on here. The board really had no option but to dump him.

Why is is weak?

You honestly think they are going to win two games next year?
2 games, 5 games...so what?
Heres a scenario for you.
Next year we win 5 games but receive our third spoon in a row. Api, Klemmer, Bateman are all a year older and have slowed down considerably, returning numbers way lower than this year. Steph, Pole and Tupou have signed elsewhere for season 25. Benji is about to get whacked. Our halves dont gel and are worse than expected resulting in Wakeham continuing to be our first choice through necessity. We continue to miss signing anyone of worth, so 25 looks just as bleak. Sponsors dont renew. Memberships are down. We are the whipping boys in the press and the punchline of all NRL supporters world wide after a second documentary is commissioned. Our reserve grade side comes last by 10 points and a clean out is ordered as they havent made the stepup. DaSilva and Faagatu suffer ACL tears that will mean they miss most of season 25. etc, etc...

Its all good though, we won 2 more games than this year! You watch us go next year, we are improving. Yay

Puts a different spin on things,,, thanks for clarifying…

Cant say I blame Sheens… surely at 72 you can enjoy life a bit more than then he would have this year,,,

Sheens kept flipping the coin every week and mostly guessed wrong… it’s high tails he moved on…

It is probable that Benji has been running things for most of the year.
Theres reports he does most of the talking at training.
Sheens has stated he is the attacking coach...an area where we have been miserable.
He seems to be giving most/all directions from the box on game day.

This year's spoon is his every bit as much as Tim's.
I agree with what you are saying but we had a dogshit halves pairing for the majority of the season. I really believe next year with Sullivan, Sezer and Fainu that we will be a lot more dangerous and the results will come. I think he was probably overridden by Sheens on some things and as we know Benji is a larger than life character and needs to be the one running the ship, I am confident and reckon we will do a number on the Dolphins and beat the Sea Eagles in the final game now.

Why don’t we see what happens next year? Then we can worry about 2025…

I think the best they can hope for is 7-8 wins so 5 wouldnt surprise … Benji will survive that ..The rest is a bit over the top …Multiple ACL tears?

Still 5 wins ..a better year then this year ..

wait for that wanker on 360 tonite go to town on us, he must be rubbing his hands today at fox studios. Well at least we almost completed one year of the 5 year course. Well done Lee and Justin, sack everyone but yourselves

Yeah, how dare 360 be negative about the club and tell us what we're all saying on this forum. How dare they! It's not like we're coming last again or haven't made the finals in 11 years or sacked about 5 coaches. It must be a conspiracy against us or something!

The axing of Hastings was one of the worst decisions I have seen ..,which is saying something …and if it was primarily because Bateman wouldn’t play along side him here … then even worse,,,

Of course he has had enough of the club. If you know anything about Sheens the minute they publically undermined him with the appointment of Fulton there was no going back. It is/was untenable and just wonder now where Benji stands.
As soon as Fulton was on board and Ronald Macdonald was moved on you knew the ending was coming for Tim and with the other rumors about West Tigers looking for a assistant coach also did not sit well with Tim.

All this panic over the club advancing their plan by a year.
I really wonder how some of you get through day to day life if you're this reactive and irrational when any perceived setback comes your way.
Benji was already the coach. Nothing has really changed except he won't have Sheens to take the flak.

Sullivan, Sezer and Fainu may turn out to be a masterstroke. That is true. The inverse is just as possible...

It does worry me that we scored all three with little to no fight from their current clubs.
Sullivan has been let go with 2 years remaining on his contract from the league's second worst side. Combining reserve and first grade appearances, he has ammassed 43 games in 4 years.
Sezer will be 33 next year and hasnt played NRL in 4 years. His combined winning percentages in the Super League over that period are sub 47%.
Manly let Fainu go so they could sign Brooks....sheesh!

Maybe these stray dogs can be trained and will combine as one unit, lets hope so!

You are missing the point. You boldly claim we have reached rock bottom. You have given no reason to justify this.
Clearly, there is still room below us as I pointed out. Shit can get worse yet.

Look at the facts . Sheens was brought here to fix up the mess Hapenstupidus & Pasdope created in mutiple balls ups for the last 5 years. Sheens was fixing its starting with securing our most promising juniors. As he started to take control, he has been undermined all the way by Hapenstupidus & Pasdope. You cant fix 5 plus years of stupidity in 12 months. Building from within takes time. The team we have this year is better than last year. Clearly to results have not been on the field, but as most posters on this forum realise that Benji has been coaching the side for ages, but Sheens was taking the bullets for the failures. Hapenstupidus obiously doesnt have the brains to recognise this. One thing is undeniable.... Hapenstupidus & Pasdope are the only 2 common denomintors in the mess we now have. When will we all stop blaming the people trying to fix the mess & oust the toolbags who have been making it?

And the reasons you are giving otherwise haven’t happened yet and in my opinion are unlikely to happen…

Mate … if you really think they are going to have the season you predict,,, perhaps best you find another hobby next year
