Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Agree with this , Sezer will steer us around and have a cool head when we are ready to attack , Sullivan with be like Laurie , quick and sneaky , opposition will have to be watching , API , Sezer , Sullivan plus our runners coming off them inside the 10/20 mtr area , IPap , Blore , Pole fen Bateman , we don’t have that luxury now as teams already know Brooks will, choke , do crap kicks or run sideways ,
The more I think about Sezer, the more I realize:

He will be slow, so he will not have worked with Sheens and his gameplan of Fast footy.
Benji may have other plans. If Benji wants a more structured attack then Sezer would be an OKay choice to help. Don't make the mistake of thinking otherwise Sezer will be one of the worst halves in the NRL, just our choices are poor now.

Hopefully though Sezer will be able to impart some wizdom on Sullivan/Fainu... Sullivan/Fainu seem similar and I don't know who is the nr7 as Fainu definately seems a Munster style 6.

With all the hype around Suaalii, this kid could be forgotten. I think he’s better than Suaalii as he is much faster. Top 3 GPS nationals for the 100m.
Is an absolute beast - watched him come through the ranks and one the Tigers should try and sign:

We need to think outside the box
This kid signed with Melbourne Rebels. Tipped for Wallabies in future.

Maybe if I read thru pages of posts I will find out but can someone tell me what is the story on - Naden ?
- Toa ?
-Staines ?
What are their injuries ?When can they play football again ?
Benji indicated Brooks has played his last game for us !
I find the Wests Tigers website not very informative and amateurish a bit like our CEO

I think I read only 13-14 players have been signed for 2025. A lot of recruitment to do. Depth is key. Hopefully the Benj factor brings a few good ones across....
NOOOO!

nope nada and Nah.

"Depth is key". Depth is 100% not the key. Top shelf talent is the key.

We have all seen how getting, debateably the leagues best Hooker in Api has changed our side.
Top Shelf player. Top shelf player makes a huge impact and wins games.

Had we signed Mitchell Latrell we would have seen a similar difference, Top Shelf player. On the Bench for Souths and he upgrades their defense so much that they almost pip Penrith.

Haven't people learned that the BIG 17 isn't the right way to build a side yet?
Depth means signing your Reynolds, Packer, Matalino and other players, Your 700k players not your 1million game winners. They won't win you games but you will have that 200-300k left over for DEPTH!

Or did Momo leaving us not bother anyone? Why he was our "DEPTH" center, who wanted to play first grade center. Clearly he was at or close too that level and welcomed at Penrith... But we decided to Shut him off by signing BJ and James Roberts.... Hey Guys how did that "DEPTH" signing work out?

Now sure. If you have say DCE and Munster signed... Go for some depth.
Ofcourse you need a Depth Prop as they tend to get injured.
Maybe a second hooker as API could play Origin.... But not 4 Damn Hookers as we have signed yet again!

NO MORE DEPTH! Top shelf talent takes priority. Reggies and rookies are for depth. That is their progression.

Sezer would be of similar pace as Clune. Sometimes footy IQ, organisation, solid D & kicking game can offset speed & x-factor if other players in the backline possess these assets.
okay I looked up Clune's stats:
100% win rate in 2023... Absolutely awesome for that.....1 GAME he played.

2022 it was 22%.
I would like to see his try assists, but man this guy makes Brooks look good. I mean a 28 year old halfback who played a few games at the Dragons, no other experience really a late bloomer. Wins about 1/4 of the games he plays.

While hey Aidan Sezer, 32 years of age and likely has signed his last contract. Played FInals footy. Coached under Dogs/Titans aka Wild west but then Ricky Stuart. Has played rep games for Australia, City vs Country and Indingous All stats...

I view him as the wrong signing... looking at his stats, perhaps I am wrong. Either way how on earth are these two players alike?
