From what I've seen this apart from our usual suspects in Feledy, Faagutu, Laulilii, TDS, etc. I've been impressed with players like Mason who's been dangerous with every touch, Sione Vaihu is another one who's gonna be a standout if he keeps going how hes going, good size, good length and he could have the potential of Olokauatu or Koloamatagi, Jay Kirk got good height for a winger in Todays NRL and gets busy, Tofaeono is our version of Spencer Leniu in my opinion, wrecking ball impact player, Iverson Matai is good with ball in hand as he dishes out to our centres early giving them space and room to run. Those are just a few of them who I think have NRL potential and i could name more but itll just drag on and on lol
Thanks @WT_2022 appreciate the info. Hopefully Tofaeono, Vaihu & those guys are in the plans for next season 👍

I think a lot of forum members who don't get to see these games are grateful for your insights. It's looking very much like our next successful period will more likely come from our juniors coming through rather than us buying quality players.

One thing to keep in mind is these kids are coming to the end of a very long season. Physically they’re probably spent, especially the ones who have come up through Ball. Throw in a schoolboys carnival and some rep games. Also some if not all of the Flegg side had a tough training session with the NRL squad before the Canberra game.

I’m possibly one of the people talking up Faagatu and admittedly I probably didn’t watch him recently with an impartial perspective - I was keen to see him in action again. What I would say is he just has this way of moving that stands out - very mobile and fluid. Feledy has something similar. Not polished or complete by any means but there’s something about them. I was quite impressed by Hodges and Vaihu made a nice move to score against the Raiders.

What do you think of the coaching as personally have not been impressed for the past 2-3 years with McKenna as coach. If our pathways are as good as they say then our coaching staff need to be top notch which to me is a massive problem.

In my opinion from what I've seen is I think our coaching staff focuses heavily on our backs attack. I think we're one of the only teams where it seems like our backs have more of the ball than our forwards do. Now I could be wrong with this but last weekend it was our 2nd set with the ball in the first half and we were running a backs play on the 2nd tackle from halfway instead of using our forwards to batter the middles. Compared to most teams it feels like we rarely use our forwards set up our game which could be a reflection on our results. Just my opinion

I know you are entitled to your opinion, I respect that , but WTF are you on ! We’ve been screaming all year about our backs getting some ball then knowing what to do with it, now we are getting a bit of pill out wide and you’re saying we focus heavily on backs attack.
That’ll do me !

Hold the phone, are we talking first grade or flegg. Just saw the heading .
If it’s flegg then I retract coz I know nothing about that grade but if it’s firsts then my
Opinion stands.

Wonder what's happened to Matai. Hopefully only a minor injury. Good to see Will Craig edging closer to a Flegg debut!
