Nick is a good Greek boy from Cythera and whilst there is a Greek mafia in Australia it tends to centred heavily in Melbourne with different heads( Remember Melbourne is the second largest Greek city in the world after Athens),
I think he’s just a very successful businessman and ongoing target of the “tall poppy” syndrome so much a part of our culture.

I agree - except we actually looked much better 20 years ago when we had a rotation of more qualified and respected Chairmen and a diverse Board with football nous that had genuine ambition to be a contender in the NRL - not just happy to merely participate as per the current Wests Ashfield dominated Board who are asleep at the wheel and blind to the evident failings of their Chair and CEO!!

At 70 years old I’m sure he’d be real enthusiastic about coming to coach Wests Tigers,
He’s at the age where he just wants to cruise along in his comfort zone, not go through the stress and demands that it takes to transform any struggling club into a genuine top 8 team.
Exactly why I do not understand why any genuine Wests Tigers supporter would be critical of Benji who along with Farah are the two greatest ever Wests Tigers players.
Benji is also a legend of the game who is held in extremely high regard and is willing to pour his heart and soul into turning Wests Tigers into a successful team ASAP.
You won’t get that same passion from any other potential Wests Tigers coach and if we live in reality, other coaches are not jumping out of trees wanting to take on the job,
The club was heavily criticised for hiring Benji as he’s supposedly too inexperienced and needed an experienced coach to assist him, he now has that in John Morris.
If you cannot see the club which obviously includes Hagi and Pascoe are doing everything they can to try and get us off the bottom , you are simply not opening your eyes or mind.
