Bevan French is not the answer. Would love to see Billy Smith and Olam in the centres. Retain Staines but not at his current salary. Kaeo Weekes could do a job for us. Flick Nofo; he is ESL ready and looks cooked. I don't want to see Kepaoa or Toa re-signed. Upgrades in the backline required.

I thought Tristan Reilly did a good job on smith the other night

NOFO needs to consider a change of scenery or the club MUST provide/encourage him to seek alternative employment in possibly Super League? He no longer performs at a NRL suitable standard. Cut him loose.
I think there’s a BBQ with his name on it in the storeroom at the CoM.

We still owe him two more years at whatever ludicrous sum he was given when we were scared Parra might take him off us - 600k per, was it? No-one's taking that contract. If we're lucky we'll be able to shift him and only cover half of it in freight.

It's the same with the people saying "oh well Bateman will want to go back to the UK before his deal is up". Not if it means walking away from half his money he won't. On 800k a year, again, if we manage to have him off the books in 2026-27 and only have to pay half that we'll have done bloody well.

Long story short: giving long contracts to ageing players or because we're in a panic continues to kill us.

We need to sign two backs that can start sets powerfully. The forwards are being over worked. Nofa is done in the NRL. Tupou is strong but he’s the only one that can bring it out of our end with force. Bula is a gun but he’s a glider slices through best used in attacking positions and defence. If we don’t solve the issue we will get rolled by teams with powerful backs.

Tupou is lazy. No work rate

Looks like he's playing Frisbee....

Lack of Urgency, No Intent / Enthusiasm!!
You reckon that can change through some targeted training and proper coaching?

He has everything it takes to be a star except the mental application

we still talking about Brooks lads 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I requested a feature on this forum to delete all posts that mention him.

We are getting somewhere though. Hastings has been so overrated because the Brooks lovers (the guys who talk about him all the freaken time) want to talk about Hastings as a proxy to Brooks.

It's onto Clune now because it's obvious that Hastings isn't very good.

Hopefully we get to the stage where the Brooks lovers don't talk about Brooks anymore. Give it another 10 years.

The Broncos confirmed again that big powerful and fast backs win matches. I admire how they scout, sign and bring together their talent and then weld it into a cohesive team.

Sheensy got us some overpaid forwards though.

Players that can create via themselves win games. The Broncos are flying and Reynolds has had a lot of games off the park.

The idea that it's all on the halfback simply doesn't hold up to reality.

Agree… I was watching the Knights yesterday…look at their wingers and centres compared to ours… great try scorers, skills, strength, pace and most important of all - confidence…

Compare to our passive plodders out in the backs… The Tigers are giving away such a disadvantage regardless of how well Api and the other forwards play

Gagai is playing like a Roosters centre version of Latrell lately - he may be the best centre in the league this year he looks seriously good.
