when we miss the semis in 2024 stef can negotiate with rival clubs for 2025 too
 
Just finished watching. At least they tried.

A bit depressing for the future. Young blokes are clearly 2nd graders atm. We need injection of talent…I’ll wait patiently for announcements.

I thought Twal stepped up as a leader and snr player amongst a 2nd grade roster.
 
Now that it's over- recruitment becomes the focus.

After tonight it's obvious a few things are required. We need some form of speed in the squad. And guys with a little x-factor. If they could tackle, that'd be a bonus. We carry too many 'almost' guys & not enough "how do I fit them in as well" guys.

I'd say that Kit Lualili'i is destined to be a part of that rotation next season.

And I think he makes the likes of 'almost's' such as Seyfarth expendable. I would probably add Blore to that, but I'm hedging bets there. Simpkin is not the answer. Da Silva is already better. Samuela Fainu needs to bring some attitude with him. Watching our forwards get run over by Olakuatu rams home our lack of physical power. Hence Lualili'i. And maybe Fa'agutu as well. Pole fits that style. The bones of a good forward pack are there. But you're only as good as the weakest link. Matamua isn't ready to be regular. But do you give up on him? Club needs a third hooker. Possibly a fourth. Can Rua be moved to a KOE contract instead of top 30? Connor Watson in his role would be a huge upgrade.

Our backs though, were embarrassing. Other than Bula, Tupou, Latu Fainu, Sezar & Sullivan- I think the other spots need to be up for negotiation. That winger from the Dragons as a KOE/T&T type works. Dean Hawkins on a T&T works too.

Billy Smith, Paul Momorovski, Paul Alamoti, Xavier Savage, Keao Weekes, Charlie Staines & Hymel Hunt. A selection of these guys to replace a selection of these guys- Nofoaluma, To'a, Kepaoa, Talau.

Reilly & Feledy are worth keeping, but need to be pushing for selection- not handed 1st grade starts. If we can keep Staines on a reasonable contract- all good. He's already in the building after all. I'd trade To'a for Savage. Canberra need to replace Croker anyway. One (or two) of Smith, Momorovski & Alamoti to pair with Tupou in the centres I think makes us better. Hymel Hunt to be the Kepaoa role.

Klemmer was doing his taking a hundred years to get tackled thing again, such a bad contract.
