Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It’s a shitshow.
Our first choices aren’t good enough and our up and comers are years away from helping.
Our coaching staff are inexperienced and our owners only see us as numbers on a page.
Tough position to be in. Years of misery ahead still.
Tucker I honestly can't see any way we get out of this mess without some form of privatisation, the guys we need to rely on to make the decisions are absolutely useless and got us in this mess.

It’s inevitable that good players are going to get sick of losing.
Two players we cannot afford to lose.
Good ? Two dummy spitting lazy forwards is not good mate. Not once have either of these two thrown a game on their backs this year. ICE is a lazy prick who has been nothing but negative towards wests from even before he came across.

Off-season time Benji and the assistants better use this off season to absolutely flog the hell out of this lot. Absolutely no mental toughness, discipline or heart. Do what Ciraldos trying to do work them till you break them and if after they've been broken they start complaining, punt them. I cannot see another way this joint is going to get out of the decade of crap we've been dished up.
No way any of our up and coming players will hang around atm we're absolutely pathetic. From the board room to the locker room.
A team that takes the spoon deserves a very short off-season. And I mean every single player in the top 30. No one protected. The joint sucks and the team clearly has a weak attitude.

As I said months ago he reminds me of Adam Blair

Bula, Staines, Tupou, Toa, Papali, Bateman, Api, Pole, Klemmer, Stefano and maybe Twal. That's 11 out of a squad of 30! Have I missed anyone - please tell me I have.

Fainu, Sezer, Sullivan should give us 2 first graders and maybe a star half.
Seyfarth and Blore in my opinion are first graders and decent ones. Seyfarth yesterday was the no 1 worker in the team.
Reilly isn't a great first grader but maybe he can be a Momo type role player.

I also think we may get a decent player or two out of Samuela Fainu, Tallyn Da Silva, Lachlan Galvin and Josh Feledy.

Nadan is also a first grader if he can get his attitude right but the same could be said about Laurie.

If we need to spend overs on players that are an upgrade on what we currently have…. So be it otherwise it’s 3-5 more years of spoons for us.
If we stop the so called Coaching merry-go-around and maybe use that money wisely we wouldn’t be in this Rabble.

I think the importance of a good kicking game is underplayed. Sezar alone should go some way to helping with that. I think Sullivan isn't a terrible kicker either.

Key components need upgrading in the squad, but simple things like a good kick teamed up with a good kick chase will do wonders for our playing style.

I know our new halves are either too old, or too young to suit everyone, but I also think a complete reboot in our organisational thinking on-field isn't a bad thing. For whatever reason you believe, Luke Brooks didn't work. It was always clunky. Awkward to watch us attack when you watch how a depleted Sea Eagles attack & see the difference. New eyes on the field is needed & should at least produce different styles for the future.

We look slow. This could simply be because our players are...slow. Or it could be that our halves/playmakers are not playing with a structure that they could utilise. Again, good kicking & kick chase will potentially play us closer to the opposition line more often. Against the Cowboys (first time) we did not look slow. And whatever magic juice they drank before the game- their attacking system worked. I want an upgrade in speed as much as anyone. But, our NEED to add speedsters might be not as dire as we think. Tupou, Bula, Reilly, Naden, To'a etc...these guys are probably fast enough to be effective. Having one or 2 real speed guys wouldn't hurt though.

The coaching staff & recruitment staff need to either promote, play or hire guys that will put in the extra 1% plays. Kick chase- can't promote that enough. Until our good young players (whoever they end up being) are established in 1st grade, we will probably be a lower skilled team. So effort is how we need to compete. It's for this reason that Bateman, Klemmer & Papali'i are important to this squad. Papali'i, despite recent critisism, is actually one of our better 1% players. Seyfarth, our new born giraffe, is a 1% guy. Lualili'i looks to be one too. Less Aitasi James, more Seyfarth required.

Whoever gets added out wider needs to be 'safe'. Decent defence, can catch, no weird flick passes. Add speed, for sure, but not at the risk of the player being 25% exciting & 75% heart attack material.

Is this a good thing for us ? I'm serious as well.
Not necessarily one way or the other. Depends on the development of other players. We can't keep everyone forever. By the time the Tigers are competing for the titles, the squad we see will look vastly different.

Shaun Blore….80 minutes, 5 runs, 33 meters.
Lazy bastard.
Isaiah Papali’i…10 missed tackles and 3 more ineffective.

I’d be looking at options on these two.
Probably answered but Shawn had some illness leading up to the game. Noticed he was very quiet

Paps looked disinterested as all shit. Noticed he was very lazy getting back into the line every time the camera was on him
