Cleary is obviously the key to that team.

I'm thinking to the future and when we'll see the start of a decline.

Critta was the unsung hero in tonight's game, he was huge... like Cleary, I can't stand him either. They will miss him a lot next year.

Also, Leinu is their only bench player with any real impact. What's it going to be next year? Garner, Lindsay Smith, Zac Hoskins, Eisenhuth? All very ordinary players.

It will be a while till they decline. For the simple fact they have developed a system and culture that is far above anything else in the comp, that they blood new kids to replace anyone that leaves and they don‘t miss a beat. The same way it’s always been with the Storm, only about 10 levels above the Storm. Only thing that will stop them is the hunger. It’s incredible.

I can’t remember the exact moment, it was around 19 minutes to go and the commentary team were asking each other how Penrith would find points. Luai was off, Yeo was off…Someone said it all has to go through Nathan.
I didn’t think he could do it on his own but…we all saw it.
Just wrote himself into folklore.
It should also be remembered that in the 2020 GF, he very nearly did this to Melbourne.
There was a moment not far away from then... Bris in possesion and attacking 20 out... They had em for numbers and they have gone up to 28 or 30...but they bombed it... It's the gap they needed but just couldn't get

11 errors from the Broncs.
Feel sorry for them. They were their own worst enemy for most of that game.
When they got their stuff together, they piled on 24 points in a row. Too bad a game goes for longer than 20 minutes.
Feel for Reyno as well….poor bugger has been done over twice by Penrith in 3 years.

Leniu & Fisher Harris in the last 20 minutes can't be overlooked. When they were off the field, the Broncos dominated field position. The big guys in the middle, along with the best halfback in rugby league, put the Panthers in the right position to win.

Creighton made something out of nothing 3 times to keep the pressure on the Broncos. Cleary will deservedly get the credit, but there is a lot of credit to be shared.

No matter what you think of them- it's a fantastic collection of players.

Yeah, I think that was when they threw a pass to Palasia and he was running a decoy instead of actively looking to catch the ball?
Too many errors to beat a machine like Penrith.

Broncos relaxed when they got to 24. A hard lesson but they are a young team.

I hope Bula was watching Edwards's defensive organising.

Only caught the last fifteen minutes or so whilst eating, but I have little to no doubt that either one of the Crichton or Cleary tries, or even both are stopped with Bula, rather than Walsh at the back.

Fullback is a tough position, but Walsh was really found lacking late in the game, with Edwards stepping up.

Young Walsh learnt a tough lesson tonight, as did other young fullbacks in the comp who think the number 1 is all about just being an attacking dynamo.
He was caught out of position so many times it wasn’t funny.
Swap him and Edwards tonight in defence, Broncs win comfortably.

He ran himself out of gas at the end but was pretty much out of position most of the evening.

Poor old Brisbanites..
Lions went down yesterday when they had every chance to win
Broncos went down after leading by 3 tries.
Can’t wait to see Karl Steph sooking tomorrow morning lmfao.

Not saying all the attention he had during the week went to his head, but apart from one or two moments, the kid was out of sorts all night and was not himself. It’s a learning curve though.

You can put that down to Cleary as well.
He wasn’t dominant in the first 60 minutes, but his kicking targeted Walsh and pretty much took him out of the game.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer state lol. Nice to take something back after having to endure to their SOO gloating year after year.

Should add they lost the reserve grade Championship as well as the Titans got done in the womens game.
4 Grand Finals lost in one ordinary weekend for the city 🤣🤣🤣

For the last 20, basically lifted the Panthers on his own, prior to that he had let in two tries and had an ordinary game.
Agreed. He let a try in and was playing ordinary...

That last 20 minute effort though. Brillant. but it wasn't all him. Ivan coaches well so that Nathan has to only do half the job well.

Ezra man, THAT WAS ALL HIM. Take him out and it goes from a close game to a wipeout. It was Reynolds too to win or loose and amazingly his kicking game was off.

IMHO medal should have gone to someone else.
One of Mitch Kenny, Moses Leota or Liam Martin.

That said, BEST MATCH OF THE SEASON. hands down.

Not an overstatement to say he’s the best ever.
Ill be kind and assume yo uare a kid. A Johns wouldnt have missed those three tackles leading to tries and would have carried his team home the same. Cleary is also yet to dominate at SoO level.

Johns is the GOAT by the stretch. Cleary is in the same discussion as the Sterlings, Stuarts, Langers etc which is pretty high praise.

When the dust settles Penrith will know they got out a little lucky with this one.

61 missed tackles conceding 6 line breaks with 10 more sets.

Brisbane only played well for 25 minutes and then choked.

Haven't seen a full strength Penrith team carved like this for a few years in a big game.

They looked spent.
