I don’t know about that. He has to have a better offer elsewhere and he just isn’t going to get the money he was on again.

I'm not seeing the relevance here. The club has stated if you can get another contract we'll release you but if you don't get one you can stay for the term of your contract. If he doesn't get the money I don't see it as our issue at all.

Been with us for 1 and a half seasons I think,
And he only played 8 this year, and not sure about 2022 cause he joined us halfway thru the season, maybe only played 4 or 5 games.
Personally I think he is not worth having, but he is contracted thru to end of 2025 season, we certainly know how to waste money. He is either injured, or suspended.

The comment is exactly right. He may want 500k, but if no one is offering that much he'll need to accept less. Whether that's here or at another club...
He won't get more than 400k anywhere imo

He is done. We couldn’t offload him to another NRL club even if we tried which says alot.

Just to clarify I was confusing in my own little head Twal and Staines. Staines isn't worth 500k although I like him as a player. Great fullback back-up and speed out wide.

On what basis will we improve.
Looking like a bad decision not to sign Jack Cogger when we had the chance,
He’s a solid 7 who competes hard and digs into the line and creates space on his outside.
In saying this the players we have recruited in Jayden Sullivan and Latu Fainu no doubt have more individual brilliance, we just have to hope they quickly develop the mindset the compete hard, kick smartly and defend strongly for 80 mins

Bula, Sullivan, Fainu & Galvin plus other dev players coming through.
I know we aren't at the level of the top teams but we aren't far off improving significantly.

It was actually a Chinese general who made that comment-we were crutching at straws.
