I think most people's focus has been to blow up the current structure and have not put much thought to the scenario where the change is even worse.

If they are not careful could be the final blow for the club.

By the sound of the article the new candidates were made up by Lee. Hopefully they get very good people in these new positions.

Thats what I thought.

There are genuine people plus tools and fools who by doing this could bring ruin to the club....some are probably working for others to help them hopefully pick up the scraps.

Loved going to Balmain away games there mate!

My favourite was this one in Round 16, 1988 - and a rare Saturday ABC TV live game.

It was also cold, grey and very windy so bugger all crowd was there aside from the diehards

This was also the famous game that the great Garry Jack got smacked in the mouth in the in-goal and lost three teeth - before minutes later taking a 50 metre plus goal-line drop out from Norths and leaving them grasping as he burnt the defence on the left flank all the way for one of the best solo tries of all time!!

He went back to his in-goal and I had no idea what he was doing crouching over then - but he was looking for his missing teeth in case the dentist could re-implant them.

Jimmy is still tough as nails and was the fiercest competitor!

Having said that - Mark Graham who was the captain of the Bears and one of NZ's finest does not get enough recognition!

Other fan opinions were gathered, I didn't seek to be interviewed for the review but was asked to. I was actually unsure as to whether to do it or not, but decided to give my opinion from a fans perspective. My opinion is as valid as any other fans.

I have no idea what I'm O'Farrel and Coates will bring, that is not my role. I have no idea if they have even been approached or not.

I have no idea how well the club is performing financially, I think we do a terrible job with our marketing and our social media engagement is going backwards quickly.

If we loose a sponsor due a change in leadership then to me that highlights the conflict of interest that we have allowed to exist.

Why weren't fans approached that didn't sign your petition. Besides, your aim was to get an independent review done.

Fans who didn't sign were interviewed as well.

The Holman Barnes Group has been very happy with how we went about this, they are aware we aren't looking to blow the place up but improve how the club runs.

It was very important to us to be respectful to the club and the owners.

I believe there are major issues in our club, I don't fully understand what they are as I am outside the club looking in. That is why we asked for an independent review.

I am very confident that the results of the review were not predetermined.

They deserve to feel the true contempt from fans and ex-players/coaches etc

Thats fine that's your view and I agree something must be done.

But a 5 hour interview. I mean yours was probably the longest and for all intents and purposes you convened the petition with an open mind .....and you state in this post you don't know what the problems are. I'm guessing you passed on alot of your views. Perhaps I and others may have different ones.....but we were not sought.

Look, a public degradation of a club in this way increases the risks of further financial and sponsorship loss and possibly a spiral to ruination.
