Simpkin- good kid, OK player but surplus to needs.

Nofo - bad attitude, aging player, well past his best.... should be shown the door to free up space with the future in mind.

AJ - not a fan, doesn't offer a lot on field and we need the space desperately.

AD - will he even play next year ? Work something out, put him in the cooler for a year to allow a new signing and for him to recovery and us to see IF he can bounce back.

All these have to be on the chopping block, AD should be put on a TT if possible as he's out half the season anyway. Then i don't know whether he's worth persisting with afterwards given his injury history.
You could also add Blore to that list given the murmurs yesterday, he's a middle not an edge and we seem to have adaquate depth there with Twal, Seyfarth, Pole and Fainu probably gunning for his spot. I do like Blore fwiw but his spot and some backs depth is more of a concern for me atm.

You'd think Simpkin would have some interest AJ possibly Nofo is going to be tough to shift but he needs a shove and AD restructure somehow. Time for Fulton to earn his dough now i guess.

There is no way i could see AD switching to a T&T contract from the contract that he signed for 2024,we will have to wear that one unless he decides to take medical retirement if he possible can.Simpkin hopefully will look around and try to get another contract as he does not have a defined career path with us in the future imho

yeah … I don’t love it but we are very weak in the centres …

Although Bellamy sees something with Blore… and he is a good judge of horseflesh… and all he has to give up is player he no longer wants..

Maybe the chiefs think Samuela Fainu is a like-for-like, albeit less experienced, for Blore.

If we were to release him, we should only do it via a trade for an outside back as you suggested given his currency (not just a straight release).
 
Check out our Flegg prop Herman Tofaeona's season highlights on his Instagram (hermanhustle), a 20yo version of Spencer Leniu. Hopefully we maintain him on a Flegg contract as he missed near the entire 2022 season with injury & could develop into our powderkeg middle we so desire.

I’m very happy with Twal and Seyfarth re-signing, I think they are both under valued players who never let us down.
I do agree with most that depth in the backs is still a big concern, hoping we can re-sign Staines and add at least one more quality outside back.
I’m also interested to know what we are thinking for halves depth outside our top 30 ?
Noticed a player I rate highly from the Qld Cup Gerome Burns just signed with Norths Devils who are a Melbourne Storm feeder club, I’d like to think we can pounce on unidentified talent like him.

I’ve watched him a few times and he’s no doubt a strong and fearless ball runner.
Only issue is he doesn’t seem to have the fitness level ti play anything other than short stints, but that can always be improved if he has the right attitude.
 
Twal & Seyfarth could also be considered as 'culture signings'. Twal started at Parra, but was brought here & developed here for a while now. Seyfarth has come through our juniors.

Clubs are generally stronger when they can develop their own.
