Shawn Blore #235

I would agree with some comparisons between Lovett and Tumeth, however Tumeth is much more highly rated. Lovett had no reputation at all. Tumeth has been playing for NSW since he was 14 and captained all Balmain junior teams he played in.

On another's comment re Tumeth and centre, NO. NO, NO, NO, NO, NO.

He filled in their once playing for nsw u19s. But as a regular centre he would be like Lovett. Smalls, slow, not a great mover or agility. What he has is mongrel. He's played a lot of prop despite his size, he's a competitor and he does run some good lines. He's a dangerous runner from 5-10m out but particularly against men doesn't have the power or evasiveness to punch holes in defence like Cam Murray can
Tumeth and Mansfield are lame - cut them.

God this team is lucky I’m not coach. Should see my NBA 2k dynasty teams. I’ve never lost in 10 years. Pretty much, if put you on and the first time your open and go for a three and miss - you’re traded. Got rid of Lebron last night for that very reason. Picked up Lillard though.

Hate to see what you'd do to Giannis lol

PS.
Kit Laulilii, Josh Feledy and Chris Faaguta come to mind. They get the forum hype, pocket rockets, BUT;
IMO do not meet the right criteria to be 1st grade body types to last very long in the NRL.
When John Lang was coaching Penrith he signed Trent Waterhouse and Clint Newton, neither who had played any junior reps but ended up playing for Australia. He said at the time you can teach players to run, pass and tackle but you can't teach them to be six foot five.

Good point. I also remember when Fulton coached Australia, always liked the big boppers!

I feel if Blore wanted to go to Melbourne he would have already signed , then the storm could try for early realise and send Olam our way , I don’t think we get a better deal , to me Blore was just building in 23. Bit more time on the field and went well , full off season and I feel he would push others out of the 17 no problem , Seyfarts for a start , and even Twally who I like , Blore is a 100% keeper , there would be 5/6 players I would move on to keep him

Guy is only young , had injuries just like others , he will be an absolute gun when he hardens up , keeper all day , Twall and Seyfarts are a better option to move on
I can’t believe we signed sayfart when we have no spots left.
Twals ok, he has reach his ceiling but took a pay cut and you know what you’re gunna get and you get that every week, we need better so Twal can be coming off the bench.

Don’t bet on it. At the Tigers you can sign up one day and be gone the next.
I’m guessing this is referring to Joffa. It had been at least 5 months since we re-signed him at the time. This is only a few weeks since both re-signed. Besides not much were interested in Seyfarth apart from Warriors earlier in the year and possibly Dogs who didn’t go through with it. Twal has more upside to him which could’ve landed him elsewhere but decided to stay. I don’t see either of them leaving now.

All I’m saying is you never know.

I watched Moneyball recently, its ok. Your talk of Bodytypes reminded me....

Jonathan Thurston - Too small for NRL.
Chris Sandow stands out as well.
Matt Utai as well.

Yet, you are dead set right. Guys that don't fit the NRL bodytype we should drop all but maybe 1. We seem to have 15 "Potential" players that never reach it. Hire starters and leave 1-2 spots for the Risky body type that turns into the next Ben Barba.

I dont agree this is the new modern forward, running barrels. No neck, massive thighs hard to bring down, that’s the modern forward. But players like BLORE are a needed point of difference, tall and the offloading ability is essential X-factor. It’s only his injuries that is the factor against but he seems to be getting past that. Look if he signs with the drizzle for 25 then fine do the swap but otherwise play hard ball with Olam and the drizzle! They want him gone more than they want BLORE.
